This is one of the rare moments in pop chart history when quality has been rewarded. I was trying to explain the "battle" to someone who is a new parent and thus didn't know about it. Yes, he definitely is overrated. Both he and 50 cent are. Neither are as bad as some of the alternatives, but they are both vastly subpar to pretty most things underground.

You have GOT to be kidding.

He doesn't have top-notch rhyme skills - 50 without a doubt kills him on skills - but his lyrical content and, of course, production are first-rate, top-of-the-game stuff.

I agree that there are probably "better" underground artists than Kanye and 50 Cent, but I don't know who they are.
