In continuation of the original What If thread. I open a new thread to restart our conversation.
The three previous threads were closed by JAMISON himself. I'm starting to think that he doesn't want anyone to talk about the stadium project whether its official or alternative news?

To be fair to Mr. Cosmos, I have thought that this projects plug might get pulled a couple of times. Why? Because I do not see anything happening on that construction sight. They shouldn't have a construction cam when there is no construction happening...

My question is thinking toward the 2018 World Cup Bid, is would there be enough room for a World Cup pitch to fit? I know it's hard to tell anything from the drawings, but with the statement of first row being 46 feet from the football sideline, it seems like a tight fit (if even possible).
Yes it will. But I can't tell you how I know.

Actually most all of that construction between GS and the Racetrack is in fact for the rail station and the right of way connecting it to the tracks running along route 17. It would be quite ironic if that got finished before RB Park opens up.

From what I have read, NJ Transit plans are to have special shuttle trains run between Secaucus Transfer and the new Meadowlands Station. Regular Pascack line trains will not pass through the new station, as the tracks will "dead end" there.

I don't see a conspiracy, but I do see less work done than the SaltLake stadium and also the Met's. Something seems to be wrong.

Whatever the case is, can't some beat reporter go over and beat someone up for info? I mean its just criminal to leave MLS fans in suspense for so freaking long! I, like most on these boards, just wish to have a current time line and someone has to know something as to what is the latest?!?!

I had a great conversation with a guy who works for a company that builds stadia (albeit mostly baseball parks) throughout the East Coast a few weeks ago, and the talk turned to the Harrison Project.

The guy told me, "All I know is...that if a well funded company like Red Bull really wanted that stadium built in a hurry, it could have been almost half done by now. They are obviously dragging their feet for some reason".

What could be the reason?

Somebody didn't get paid-off properly?
Another possible change-of-hands of the club imminent?
Waiting to see how new Meadowlands properties fall out?
Investors in related/collateral properties have bailed?

To me, this whole stadium project is more proof that the club is cursed. I'm serious.

It is possible that there might be future litigation involving the cleanup of the site. This is not uncommon. Firm X gets paid a lump sum to come in and clean up whatever they find. Client Y knew more than they let on about what was there and try to stick Firm X with the bill. Firm X replies with lawyers. Client Y responds in kind. Delay ensues. This could also explain the lack of public knowledge, as anything involving litigation tends to be kept on the down low.

I've heard rumors to this effect. I don't know anything concrete.

Sorry for the pun.

I finaly found out why they froze the webcam, its because the webcam lies, i passed by of the site of RBP by train and etc. That place looks like a disaster and a shiz hole. I dont know what that guy with the green face is thinking which he said in another thread that there was progess.... i passed by twice today and both times the machines were not working and in the same spot. I really am starting to think that RBP was a fantasy and not a reality.... sorry guys but the truth is there will be no RBP and our home will be the medowlands

a. Actually not true.

b. Is anything you have to say either official or alternative news? No. Thanks for playing.

c. You keep claiming that the stadium is dead. Until you actually have news- official or otherwise- the stadium is only dead in your head.

Thread moved to off topic. Enjoy.

The Red Bulls are certainly going to be playing in the new Giants stadium because the Giants have made concessions to soccer fans. For example, I heard that the stadium will have a self-serve salad bar. I'm a soccer fan, and I like to toss my own salad. FACT!

STFU

Red Bull Park construction is delayed due to contaminated soil and the removal of previously unknown subterranean foundations. No conspiracy folks. End of discussion. Mods please close.

Again I dont have a problem with being off topic. I never said that this is OFFICIAL news of RB PARK, you always implied that. SO JAMISON dear, thank you for actually following my suggestion and moving this to a forum that will allow this thread to actually develop into something productive.

I'm not upset that the thread is closed. I always felt that the thread wasnt a mainstream topic and I knew that people would get upset if they felt led on. IM NOT LOOKING TO LEAD anyone on, I just want to talk about the different possibilities that exist concerning RB PARK.
