Another nickname for Vieri would be Bobo. The italians gave him this nickname because he always answered interviewers monosyllabically, which led them to believe he was stupid.

Beckham is also known as Becks or Goldenballs, affectionally coined by his wife.

Other good United nicknames include ManUre, Merchandise United, Glory Hunter United.

Romário, o Baixinho (Little Guy)

Edmundo, o Animal (because of his temper)

Edílson, o Capetinha (Little Devil)

Júnior, o Capacete (Helmet, because of the Globtrotter-esque hair he used during the 80s)

Zico, o Galinho de Quintino (Little Rooster from Quintino, the neighborhood where he was raised)

Doutor Sócrates (because he got a degree on Medicine)

I know your Brazilian and all, but you got it wrong.
His real name is Socrates.

I can't believe I'm actually correcting you on this. Your credability has been shot to shite.

So?! What have I said? That his name is Sócrates and he has the nickname "Doutor", like Dr. or Doctor Sócrates.

All he was saying is that Doutor Socrates was the nickname of Socrates. If you've noticed, the actual players names are bold, with the nicknames in basic print.

robinho = rei do drible (king of the dribble)
marcelinho carioca = pé de anjo (angel's foot)

ronaldinho gaucho -> well when he played in gremio he was called ronaldinho ("little ronaldo", in brazil is very usual u call someone in the diminutive form) so when he went to the NT Ronaldo was already there and Ronaldo is called Ronaldinho, so we couldn't have 2 Ronaldinho's... so "ronaldinho gaucho" was born in the south part of brasil, who born there is called gaucho... so to difference the ronaldo's the oldest one is ronaldinho and psg's one is ronaldinho gaucho...
