Well, anything but atleast a 3-0 win would probably be pretty sad.

Will we make it out of this group? :D

Dear Chelsea Players,

Since you have decided not to win the league this year, do us a favor and win the Champions League.

until this morning, I stopped caring about the CL.

If we don't win the league, I don't think I'll be as happy with winning the CL.

With that said, we need to win this trophy at least once.

Knowing Chelsea, they will probably scrape a 1-0 win. Kalou scores in early 1st half.

i must admit being a city fan also, ive nothing but the utmost of repect for rosenborg.their an ideal example of how a club from a second-rate european league can and should be run and can only dream of the day when turners cross will see more than inter-totto cup european action.

however anything other than putting them to the sword tomorrow night would be unacceptable imo.

Intelligent rebuttal. Convince us how the team will turn around and stop putting on pathetic displays (see Villa, Blackburn)

I think he meant that you shouldn't write off your team after 6 games.

I think Sheva getting a goal or two in this one would be nice for him. I think he should start. This can be his season so I feel he needs a few starts, perhaps one with Pizarro, before we just give up on him. I don't think we should start him once, and drop him to the subs bench, because he wasted chances..

Edit : What is up with some people qutting on Pizzaro already? What's he done so wrong? He's not a goalscorer, I think that's clear, but I feel he's been great for a striker adapting. He links up well with the team and isn't selfish. So?

Real fans dont question their teams efforts when if they bothered to watch they could see the players giving 100% and trying to win(which we rightfully should have).

People that haven't watched too much think we should automatically crush any team we have more talent than, and if we dont its a lack of effort, or a reason to just give up a few weeks into the season....pathetic really.

I missed the game, unfortunately. A few seconds(literally) before kickoff I was off to the doctor's, and got home after the game. On paper, the result doesn't sound good, but from what I saw we had a few goalscoring chances(a few from Sheva, one from Essien) and Kalou was wrongly called offside. Doesn't sound too bad, does it?

Results are all that matter statistically, but at least we put in a good effort.

IF you're going to give up on the team a few games into the season, then why support in the first place? If we were relegated, would you still be here?(er that's not to you Walter, obviously, that's to other fans - I just quoted for truth :D)

May be going a step too far in the above, but for all we know, we may have some early season jitters of some sort.

The list of the games where Chelsea did not perform or performed not really well doesn't start with Villa and B'Burn. Some previous games that Chelsea did win were a far cry from being spectacular themselves as they were in prior seasons. They conceded goal in almost every game, and in some barely scored one and generally scraped through just by having a better set of players thats all.

It won't happen against top tier teams EPL or CL alike, no nice referee error to fix some ************ performance and salvage some points.

As for the B'Burn disallowed goal, they should have been able to create at least 5 or 6 opportunities like this through the game, but created only one.

Rosenborg's scalp collection includes of those of Juventus, Milan, Real Madrid, all in all nice group but I hope Chelsea will avoid adding their name to this list. Recently, Norwegians, weren't as good as they were 10 yearas ago, and Chelsea not near as bad as they were 10 years ago. A must win which will underline the whole compaign.

Well now, what can we expect from Rosenberg?

Don't have to be a football expert to figure this one out.
They'll come looking to do what Blackburn did to us, in fact, they'll probably be worse.

Another hard slog is on the cards I fear, and if we don't get a couple of players stepping up, we'll struggle to break them down.
SWP seems to have been suffering from playing too much...now, thats not something anybody would have expected to hear, eh?
Still, he is, and he'll probably play again after but a few days rest, which means about 20 to 30 mins of good play from him and then a return to the headless chicken we're oh so familiar with these past couple of seasons.

50 goals missing from the starting line up will not be easy to replace, even more so when the replacements are struggling to get a decent ball into the box to get on the end of.

Defensively we should be solid, which is good news, the bad news is, that that's the end of the good news.

1-0 and probably bloody lucky to get it too.

That Real v Werder Bremen game does look tempting, I must say. I'll wait for our first goal then switch channels.

thats nearly as bad as switching over when your side go a goal down ala zani, besides those games repeats will be on all night,or sky plus it if you can.

I think it's pretty academic that we are going to beat Rosenberg.
