Low: We will improve (http://fifa.com/associations/association=ger/news/newsid=598234.html#low+we+will+improve) Interview on FIFA.com
Since taking over as Germany coach from Jurgen Klinsmann in August last year, Joachim Low boasts an impressive record of 12 victories, one draw and just one defeat, with 44 goals scored and only eight conceded. Guided by the man fondly known to all and sundry as Jogi, the team featuring Michael Ballack, Miroslav Klose and Co. has continued to thrill its supporters with a fresh brand of attractive attacking football, generating an overwhelmingly positive momentum at all levels of the German Football Association (DFB).

Which of the up-and-coming youngsters do you think have the best prospects of breaking into the senior squad and featuring at the 2010 FIFA World Cup?

We've successfully brought in a number of players from the U-21s over the past two years. There are a few highly promising youngsters in German football, although we'll have to wait and see how they develop. Take Toni Kroos, who made an outstanding contribution at the U-17 World Cup. He'll have to make his way up through the levels like all the others. Players who prove their quality at U-20 and U-21 level and play themselves into contention will be given a chance to prove themselves in the senior team.

Toni, you are on Löw's list. :D

Anyways, very professionell answers and i like it that youth development plays such a big role in his concept.
Löw is our man for the next 10 years (at least ;) ).

Oh man...just as long as we don't have a Kroos fanboy thread. :D

He is just being politically correct

And that way, he doesn't put any pressure on Kroos either, in case Kroos is the type who takes on pressure, which I don't think he is.

From the above article ^

Question: Did you substitute according to plan or did you react to the first half performance?

Löw: We had discussed our substitutions before the game. Metzelder and Hitzlsperger have to play Champions League next week, while I needed to take Jansen out of the game. It would have been his third game in sequence, following his injury. We always need to consider the concerns of our clubs.

One of the few NT coaches who actually gives a damn about clubs and seems to be not only understanding but unselfish about it!! Good for him. With this attitude, he will be able to build a good relationship with club coaches (read; Ballack v. Chelsea).

Question: Your team has won five games in a row. Where do they belong in the ranking of the major teams?

Löw: We cannot grow complacent. We have not reached any major milestone yet. Developing five or six players each year has to be our mission statement, but we have to improve in many areas to accomplish this goal.

It's great to hear a NT coach concern himself with the development of a team rather than rankings and trophies. With this sort of attitude, the trophies should fall into place on their own, and if they don't, we can always be hopful for th next event to have the NT perform well. I am sure secretly the "hidden" adgenda is to win it all, but I like to hear Löw talk about a continuous process with the German NT. Something that was not really seen from 1994-2003!!!

It is great that they're keeping feet on the ground.

To not do that is the only thing that at this stage will stop this team from improving a little bit more and winning the EC and the WC

I love Loew. One of my favorite coaches EVER. Kroos needs to join the NT soon though, after the Euro 08 I hope.

It's more than obvious that all depends on his decision how long he wants to stay with the DFB...

Jogi, wir danken dir!!!

Loew said that Kroos is gonna be called up for the next game.

He (Kroos) definetly could add something to our midfield as opposed to some other call ups! I just don't want to see him getting hurt or burned out at such a young age!
