Was it just me or did Fox seem to edit out any political content from people accepting awards?

Yup, one of the women that won was going to say that if all motheres were in charge of the world there would be no war and they immediately switched over to a silent shot and blocked it out.

F the Sopranos. Best Drama my ass. It's not even HBO's best drama. Only won because it was their final season. Now perhaps other shows will finally get some recognition and not have to deal with 3 and 4 nominees by this HBO series that was far past it's sell-by date any longer. Go away, David Chase.

They sure as hell better not let Fox produce and show the Emmy's next year.

What a joke on every aspect of how it was handled. From an unfunny host to the round stage to Christina Aguilara to the censoring (they can't just cut the sound????) to rushing the big winners off the stage at the end (cut other crap from the show so the ones we really want to see can actually talk!!!).

And just so you guys know the censoring wasn't for political it was for swearing. Romano said fcuk, Katherine Heigl said shit and Sally Field said God damn. But they didn't have to censor it with a crowd shot taped hours earlier with complete silence for 5 seconds.

Bitching about who wins is all good because everyone who knows TV knows the voters don't know shit.

Of course The Sopranos was going to win. I don't even really have a problem with that. My problem with that category are the shows that weren't nominated.

30 Rock winning is friggin' fantastic. Tina Fey thanking me (one of their dozen viewers) sure was special.

Ricky Gervais winning was great. Too bad he wasn't there.

Right and wrong!

Gervais winning was fantastic, but the best moment of the show was Stewart, Colbert and Carell jumping around on stage, high fiving and hugging after they presenters deciding to give the award to their "good friend" Steve Carell. It looked like those boys had just scored the winner in a World Cup!

Gervais' acceptance speech would have been one hundred times funnier than that.

Is Ugly Betty really that funny? Honestly it just looks like a big steaming pile of dog shit.

I didn't know this was on.

But I'd like to go back and find my claims from two years ago that Jaime Pressly deserved an Emmy.

Hotness and hilarity have rarely been so tightly mingled.

I don't get the hype around that show. I don't see anything good about it.

Actually, they had to. When Sally dropped the F-bomb, they had to hit the delay switch, which automatically wipes out the next 15 seconds of air time.

It's probably the best show on TV. Campy, funny, fun, smart.

One of my favorite parts was when Stephen Colbert was announcing the nominees for Best Actor in a Comedy...and pronounced Steve Carell's name with an accent on the first syllable.

I also liked the Rainn Wilson / Kanye West lyricism sketch...

Except for a good portion of the country they were already showing the whole show on an hour delay.
