The club where Mancini and Vialli won the Scudetto together deserves its own thread.

:) What I meant was, it deserves somebody starting a thread to see if anybody gives a damn anymore. I've moderated here for a long time, and there's always a few Samp threads each year. But, I'm afraid, the longer a team stays in Serie B, the fewer people care. What's it been, 3 seasons now? Seems a shame. Genoa deserves at least one top flight team. But at least Serie B can look forward to another season of Genovese derbies. Did anybody see last year's on RAI? What a scene.

Samp is going to be the revelation of Serie B, and will return to greatness next year.

They've turned it around off the field with new ownership and a dedication to Serie A.

(Sue, we seem to run in the same circles)

2 for 2 in the Coppa, including a derby win, and I think they have clinched the group. Maybe you're right! I'd rather see Sampdoria in the top flight than some of the real minnow-y minnows that are there now. I like Cinderellas as much as the next person, but it seems like there are an inordinate number of them this season.

Yes, the final was 4-2. For some reason, he posted the 3-2 score in the 84th minute and never came back to post the final. Gasbarroni scored in injury time.
