Ok Pinto has said he has 50 players in mind for qualifiers and his process just want to see who they are

hay una cosa creo que en la lista de los 50 no deves incluir a Ivan Ramiro Cordoba, Mario Alverto Yepez y Miguel Calero no van a jugar para la seleccion mientras pinto este de DT... o ponerlos en rojo y ponerles entre parentesis no pueden ser convocados o algun distintivo asi

there are ones who def failed and wont be coming again like Yepes, IRC and Calero but they were still in his 50

The problem is that 5 months of analysis and we still have some unsettled areas on this team. For instance, it is clear that MacNelly Torres does not have the skill or leadership to play at this level. He may be fine for Cucuta but he has shown relatively little ability to be a world class playmaker.

The best options here are to consider in order, Leo Aldo Ramirez, David Ferreira, or Tressor Moreno. I do not thin k that Giovanny Hernandez is an option. He was slow 6 years ago, what makes Pinto think that he can control the offensive half of the field. Add to that he is coming off an injury, he needs to think real quick about a chang in plans here.

In the midfield he should also consider calling up Totono Grisales who is playing at a very high level in Argentina (Colon). A midfield of Grisales on the right, Castrillon on the left, Ramirez (enganche) and Sanchez Moreno as defensive midfielder is the optimal midfield. We could have Tressor as a backup to Sanchez Moreneo or Amaya as the backup.

I am not convinced that Amaya is the call for the defensive mid, he could come in as a substitute.

Now I do not know how long Charria is injured, he provides someoffensive options in the mid field that may be interesting


The goal keeping in my mind is made up. Starter Julio, backup Ospina, callup in case of injury Zapata. Zapata is the most athlectic of the three but he loses concentration to easily and makes some silly errors. The erros against Peru were telling. You just cant make those mistakes in the qualifiers.


The defense looks decent although Perea has been a bit shaky. I would much rather have him as the outside right back, Zapata and Mosquera in the middle, with Velez on the left. Subs would be Vallejo/Bustos on the right and Arizala on the left.

Finally, the forwards seem pretty set with Falcao and Wason as starters and Dayro Moreno coming off the bench. I do not think that Ledier is a good option off the bench and you need some speed, quickness, and ability (beleive it or not I would much rather have Edixon Perea than Leider). Perhaps Rodallega can be a decent substitute.

I am really worried that the we have no concept of how to control the midfield (Peru and Paraguay really highlighted that point). What do you guys think? What is the best way of controlling the midfield and really developing some offensive options from that area of the team?

Tienes razon, lo que no entiendo es porque si Leider puede ir porque no Angel. Y si Gio puede ir porque no Aldo (aun no lo a convocado)...Porque no llama a Toja? Arzuaga y Hidalgo deben estar ahi, este Pinto es un pendejo. No entiendo porque el futbol Colombiano con tanto talento le va tan mal. Estamos en el mismo problema de Uruguay.
