Greg Berhalter and Josh Wolff will be taking on Alemania Aachen on 09/16 from Tivoli.
I know I'm a day early, but I was thinking about it.
I wish 1860's website had an English version, because I'd love to read the preview.

You can see from the graphic at the bottom that Berhalter is shown at center back, and Josh Wolff is shown out on the right.
1860 have started really well this season after 3 wins and a draw so far.

The game is definitely underway in Tivoli, but I haven't been able to get starting lineups yet.

Here's a small preview from the Bundesliga website. It should be in English, but if not you can click on the 'English' button and get a translation. Also, if you haven't checked out my thread in the main forum, check out the 10 things you didn't know about Steve Cherundolo.

Cool, now I need to go find out if Subotic is playing for Mainz today.
What do you think about next week having just one YA gameday in Bundesliga 2 thread? We've got the guys at 1860, Subotic at Mainz, Ian Joy at St. Pauli, Josh Grenier at Koblenz, and Joe Enochs at Osnabruck.

Hard to argue with picking up a point on the road.
Fabian Johnson came on in the 74th.

Said it before, will probably say it again -- Wolff has found his level in BL2.

Said it before, will probably say it again -- Wolff has found his level in BL2. Hmmm ... I thought his off-the-ball movement and tactical awareness were much improved vs. Brazil.
His touch was still pretty (to be gentle) average.
But ... he was in and out of the line-up last season (listed as participating in 10 matches) due to competition at forward and an assortment of injuries. Now that he is an established starter, he may yet surprise. 1860 is tied for the lead in BLII and, if you consider that this level is pretty close to the lower teams in BL1, it's not a bad jumping off point.
His upside seems limited due to his age but he still has decent speed and is bound to improve a little, even if by osmosis only.

I guess its me, but there is a tinge of sadness when thinking Wolff really is at the right level, but yet he was a good contributor for us during World Cup runs + at the actual event.
We still got a ways to go as a soccer nation, although Altidore, Adu, Feilhaber could potential change 'the game'

We will never know, and soon it will be water under the bridge, but I think for a few guys like Wolff MLS was unfortunate only in that they never really got out to see how far their game would have taken them in other leagues. This move is too late for Wolff - but at the same time, he is doing quite well on the B2 team at his age and there is no reason to think he would not have survived, if not excelled, in the B2 or elsewhere from the run-up '02 - when he was really playing exceptionally well for the USMNT - to now. Wolff was always fairly clever with his runs and had good speed. He had a couple of excellent games v. Costa Rica (a Q and a Gold Cup come to mind) and of course the Mex game.
Would the added pressure of playing in a top 4 or 6 Euro league have done anything more to his game. Impossible to say, but if this is his "level" it is a level he is finding on the down slope or at best, top of the table.

Before his knee injuries, Wolff had fantastic speed.
He's still pretty fast though.

going over to europe after the 2000 olympics, or even after the 2002 wc, might have done wonders.
