We were talking up in the office about our first concerts, some were pretty cool, (one mid 40s guy told us Santana, mine was Warrant... leave me alone, one girl was Richard Marx LOL!). So here is everyone's chance to tell us what your first concert was, some will be embarrassing, some will be cool, some obscure, but it's a nice way to start off a Friday night, so let's here them.

REM's Document tour. I took this hot little firecracker of a 15-year-old, but man was she country. She dressed in her Sunday best. That's when I found out how cruel big city (Dallas) people could be. Thousands of city hipsters, all laughing at her. Of course, I had to challenge everybody who made fun of her to a fight. The whole thing was just a miserable experience.

First concert I ever went to was with my parents taking me to see Stevie Wonder when I was about 6 years old. The music was good but loud for me at that age (we were pretty close to the front) and the main thing I remember is the show started an hour late and when Stevie came on he apologized and said they were late because he was driving the bus.

The first concert I went to sans parents was R.E.M. on the Green tour. Went with a school friend and had a blast. They were one of my favorite bands at the time and still are today. I believe I was 12.

stuart adamson was a gifted individual. such a sad loss of life when he was found dead.

i'm going to put the blame for mine on a friend and seeing as he doesn't use BS i have no comebacks.

bryan adams - SECC.

some of the earlier stuff like run to you, summer of '69 etc got the crowd going but way too much slow, smoochy music from his newer material (this was '87 at the time) bogged the whole thing down.

My first show was Earth Day Concert with Bill Nye the science guy!!!

Now that sucked, it was for school.

My first show that I went to on my own was GWAR with Trivium, Devil Driver!!

Now that was a great show. I met the band Trivium, Got blooded on, and Met Dez From Devil DRiver, it was a great day to remember.

Mine's embarrassing. Tina Turner and Joe Cocker opened for her. I can't stand Joe Cocker...probably because I don't like The Wonder Years. Tina Turner put on a good show though. And as a last note, I saw this with my whole family and I was in about 4th grade.
