Alright guys, I am back.
I was actually stupid enough to watch the game against Peru, and I can tell you it was not one specific player that stood out as the bad one. The entire team played awful, and Ribeiro is not going to make an impact if this the strategy Sanchez is going to take going forward.

I honestly think (and I have said it before) that we need a higher level of coaching. Plattini was hand-picked by Chavez only because he owed him a large amount of money. We need a WORLD CLASS coach.

Sanchez is not up to the task, even if he has the best of intentions.

Gatty ribero, are you guys serious limberg guttierez WTF, lets just go ahead and call marco and maybe erwin can play and coach. Why are we so stubern to see that Galindo, Ribero, Limberg, Castillio, Reyes, and JMP, their cycle is over they had the 98, 2002, 2004 wCqulifyers to play Galindo is too slow, Ribero can't play a full 90 or 45 especially at Qual level, remember him and limberg couldn't get pass ecuador's u-17 in the panamerican games. Castillio even though he is getting back on track it will take atleas another cycle to get back to qualifyer leve and he has to be in his late 20's if not early 30's, Reyes he sucked througout the Copa america, and JMP; eventhough JMP has the height and even the presence to play, however his speed is lacking througout his entire play come on guys don't let a 2-0 loss in lima get us in a panic, we didn't play well but most of that is on our goalie and the fact they practice for less then 3 days. I got hope and a warm fuzzy feeling about this team.

Castillo? Are you talking about the same castillo who played on tecos? Hes like 23 dude....

And yes i hope reyes never gets called up again, because he is nothing but a hack who gets yellow cards like candy, and is constantly almost about to get red carded .

The question is though, who can play our coveted number 10 spot? Vaca is too small, limberg to old and fat, Gatty is too outta shape, maybe pull nacho up to make him play more offensively and in the middle? Maybe pull back moreno and have him as an offensive midfileder? Have arce and martins ahead of him?

Like i said before i think Nacho should be the 10 guy and not Moreno. The main reason is that Nacho can run up and down the field a lot easier than Moreno. The problem with Nacho is that he gives the ball up at the wrong times (see copa america). However he does have more experience playing at that position as that's what he played in Aris. He wasnt the 10 player but certainly played the position. Arce should be in the right wing position because we've seen him go up and down and we know he can cross teh ball well. Have martins on the left and Arce on the right up front. Moreno should be a left wing, that way he can still be involved up front but also play back to the midfield if needed to make those great runs he does for DC before making that last pass for the goal.

I agree with the centiments of Limberg in that we miss his type of free kicks (we really need to work on set pieces, getting hurt up there was the worste thing teams could do to Bolivia because in the past our players could place the ball and kick it hard, now it's a joke). Limberg just doesnt have the mobility to play for the national team. AT best he might be a sub to put at the 70th minute

Def have Mojica and Vaca out of there. We all know, and heard the commentator on GolTV that Vaca has talent, no question, but his size is his demize. Not only is he small but he's also thin as a rail. With Nacho at least he can fend of the bigger defenders (again the knock on him is that he's injury prone and doesnt always take care of teh ball, especially when the ball in on our half).

As far as defending the idea of having Pena up there is nice, but he is slow. He would have to sit in the back of the field close to the GK so as not to get beat.

Peru really exploited a weakness in the defense, in that we can't defend the crosses from either side. There is no one in the middle to clear the ball. Raldes should be up front.

And i'll keep saying this until i die, WE NEED A DIFFERENT GK.

In other words i agree with bolivianfuego. Gatty is fast and he might be useful in the middle in the right side as he can cross the ball better than what we've seen, but again i dont think he's THE answer, but at this point what else do we have.

Someone mentioned Ortiz and i guess he's young and tall and he can play the left side in the middle also, but that's a big question considering not too many people know much about him. I guess i rather try him on earlier than later.

I agree. Lets give nacho a shot, he was awsome with bolivar in the past, but as i understand it he plays more of a defensive midfielder on aris, although their fans on that greek webboard were wondering how he would work out as a more offensive distributing MF'er.

But i dunno about us trying out 3 up front, that would leave three in the midfield?

I am a big fan of nacho, however he is very injury prone, he got hurt against uruguay and peru. He doesn't seem like that great of an option up front, Castillio might of been 23 when played for tecos but that was back in 03-04, frome 03 to 07 about 3 or 4 years he is like i sayed in his late 20 or early 30. do the math

Nah dude hes young.

Check it out. His B day is Nació: 2 de septiembre de 1983

He just turned 24. We should give him another shot. He was good, but just a wild stallion. I heard in mexico they put him in alc rehab, so he should be much better, and o higgins is doing real well in chile. He deserves to be called up. I remember he was a awsome Completely offenseive minded player, when on his game and on point.

Again guys, we got the talent, and endless options and players for every position, the key is tying them all together into one powerful team, and locking that starting lineup, and subs and working on their teamwork and how they all feed off each others strengths and weaknesses.
