I'm a Fifa dork and I have several wants from the new game. What are yours?
Don't bring any Pro Evo talk around here because beginning with FIFA07 EA has topped Konami.

I want a more nuanced manager mode. that's not a criticism of the old manager mode, I'm very appreciative of them. but I want even more. more scenarios to deal with with players/fans/media/board with maybe more freedom of action and less predictable results.

Maybe you should start slow with Murray from Flight of the Conchords to improve your wit then move to smart shows:D

ok I remember a couple now.
I'd like to be able to fire or tweak the way my scout works once I get him to a level ten. the same goes for coaches.
I'd like the income to go up based on league and not just on size of stadium. I'd also like to see better sponsor deals. TV money would be cool for top leagues.

I am pumped about the version coming out, but I am pissed that I have to buy a used PS2 to get to play it for a reasonable price.

Dude, isn't the price of the PS2 plus the game going to be more expensive the 360 game?:confused:
I don't really know what I want new, the last version I played was the '02 one. Are there online leagues? If so, maybe some of us could get one of those going on Live.

No. I have the old school XBOX, not the 360.
PS2 is still releasing the new games so a used PS2 and FIFA 08 is my cheapest route ($150). I refuse to pay what the new systems are charging, it's rediculous.
I don't really know what I want new, the last version I played was the '02 one. Are there online leagues? If so, maybe some of us could get one of those going on Live.
There are online tournaments going on all the time, the last one was the first to have a MLS team (Houston). I think it was called Champions Cup or something like that.
They aren't all that great though. It is set up where they have two teams matched up against each other and you go online and play games for your team, after the weekend all the games are averaged together somehow and that is how a team wins.

how is our Dp, Denilson, not in the game?
I know he sucks for us, but I bet he'd be damn highly rated in this game and would be a great dribbler. I still think it's ridiculous a designated player is not on the team.
And dont give me the rebuttal that EA didnt have time to put him in. The new kid, Sesay, the LA Galaxy got in the weighted lottery is on their team, but our world cup winning brazilian soccer star doesnt make the cut.

how is this game? ...assuming you have it...Is it worth the money of a broke college student to upgrade from 07?
