Ball advice/review/bouncing/feeling thread [2]

Hi everyone,

Can anyone give me any advice on this type of ball?

Me and a few mates are considering getting the bundle which works out at only £8 a ball in the end, they look decent enough though.

Any horror stories I should hear about?

Don't have any experience w/ that particular ball, but given that it is a glider and has a buytl bladder, its probably not suited for matches(regardless of what PDS claims), but would most likely be a great training ball.

I am not sure, though I've always thought that gliders seem to travel further and hang in the air longer, but I am not 100% sure about what a glider ball is.

When I am looking for a match ball I always look for a latex bladder. They might not retain air as well, but they have truer flight and rebound in my expereince.

Never been a fan of adidas balls, but it has more to do w/ the fact I think they are usually overpriced than their quality. Hopefully, something I said was helpful to you.

Thanks a lot that is helpful. I've dropped that idea and am looking on ebay for cheap official matchballs. Always wanted to get my hands (and feet) on one of them.

I have the Teamgeist, the Brine NCAA Championship, and Nike Total 90 Omni, but by far the best ball I've ever had is the Bremen FC Micro (http://www.soccerballworld.com/FCMicroBall.htm). It just shows that you don't have to shell out big bucks for a brand name to get quality.

I've only used it on turf. I'd say the durability is pretty top notch. It's kept it's shape through 5 months of continuous use. Of course, it's gotten a number of scuff marks from the turf, but unlike my Teamgeist which is now dark grey instead of white, it's kept it's color pretty well. It's one of those balls that just feels great when you kick it.

SoccerPost is the real deal. They have some great sales. Nothing special on there at the moment however.

Watching the Mexico game right now. They are using what I think is essentially this ball (http://www.soccer.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Section_Id=1&Product_Id=308955&cm_mmc=CA-_-CSE-_-google-_-SOC&CAWELAID=243303144) except its white/blue w/ a different design. If you google, puma soccer ball v1.08 concacaf, you'll find a soccer.com link a white/orange ball, but it didn't work for me.

I saw some of those at the Adidas outlet in York but they were still £52.00 you certainly got a bargain for £25! they are fantastic balls!!

yah 25 pounds for the europass ball? thats an awesome deal. what is that, like 40 dollars US? damn i payed twice that for mine lol....excellent ball...all the teamgeist balls are great, but this one in particular i like better than the previous teamgeist balls because the surface is slightly dimpled instead of smooth and slippery. plus i think its one of the better looking designs.
