I've bought 4 balls in the past week. Two Nike Omni, two Nike Aerow II. Total cost? $270 shipped. I pretty much got 2 top end balls for free. I now have 10 total high end balls, 5 Aerow I (1 Hi Vis, 2 White/Red, 2 White/Orange - Spanish Primera), 1 Nike Mercurial Veloci, 2 Omnis, and 2 Aerow IIs. That should probably hold me over for a while, haha. I've probably paid about $450 total for all of those balls thanks to eBay and taking advantage of sales at the right time.

FYI the Mercurial Veloci is on sale for $69.99 at soccer.com.

have you tried/owned adidas balls? any reason you insist on Nike ones?

I personally prefer adidas over nike that's why I'm trying to unload aerow i and II

I had two of the original Teamgeists but I found I like the touch of the Nike balls more. The Nike balls are also far more durable that the original Teamgeists. That and it's a lot easier to find good deals on the Nike balls than it is the Adidas ones.

If you like cheap high end balls, heres (http://www.eastbay.com/catalog/productdetail/model_nbr--75352/sku--210501/cm--GLOBAL%20SEARCH%3A%20KEYWORD%20SEARCH/) the Brine Championship ball for 50$! It is the actual championship ball, not eastbay once again miss-labeling something. I know Brine isn't exactly a big name but the balls they make might actually last forever. My coach has had the same Brine ball for 7 years now, which is far more than what I've gotten out of a TG. And if they are good enough for NCAA, I'm pretty sure they're good enough for whatever leagues we play in.

Coolest ball ever.

I need to take a couple pictures of my Aerow II EPL ball. It's got this awesome glossy printing on it that you can only see at certain angles.

They put that ball up the day after I bought mine. I was so mad when I looked the next day and saw it.

Anyone have their favorite futsal ball? Futsal balls have low bounce. I have a futsal ball but am looking to buy a new one that feels more like an outdoor ball. My current one sticks to the ground a little bit when you dribble or shoot. You need to kick in a certain way to get it right. And it'd be easier to do tricks with a glossy ball. Here is a sample ball:

I use the futsal version of the Umbro Dynamis ball

http://www.futsaltrainingsystem.com/servlet/the-235/Umbro-Dynamis-Futsal-Ball/Detail

It has FIFA approved certification, and feels great. The place where I play has a bunch of Baden balls. They are terrible compared to the Umbro and cost about the same.

I am seeking your suggestions on this...

I have the first edition MLS teamgeist. Awesome ball when I first got it. However, this cold Northeast winter weather makes the ball solid as a rock. Now, I used someone else's Teamgeist, and theirs was still as soft as a baby (their ball was older than mine too). I keep the ball in the garage, so it gets pretty cold in there. I've tried warming the ball up on the way to the soccer field using my car's air vent, but that only do so much. Also, I noticed there is considerable less grip on the ball when it is cold. Any ideas on how I can get to ball to NOT be as hard as a rock? Would keeping the ball inside help? What if I deflate it a bit and re-inflate it? What is your recommendation for re-conditioning the grip on the ball also?

All suggestions welcome.

Thanks.

I found teamgeist balls to be not much durable compared with other high-end balls. We had to change 2 balls in one season. With that in mind, maybe you're better off with getting TG2 balls ($65 at soccerpost.com)

OT: What's the difference with Terrapass and Europass balls?

anyone ever used a mitre revolve?

I have Mitre Ultimax and I like it a lot. Considering the Revolve is even more advanced and more expensive I'd think that it must be superb.

I have a technical question considering the level of ball inflation at professional matches. Anybody ever played pro or semi-pro, or kicked a ball that was actually used in a professional league? I've always been curious about how much air they actually put in those balls. I bought a cheap gauge once and even after the ball was hard as rock, it showed the pressure being lower than recommended on the ball. Any info would be appreciated.

I just got a Nike Mercurial Veloci Hi-Vis ball (the $130.00 fifa approved one). After inflating it, it was pretty hard. I used it on a match on Sunday, and we ended switching to my friend's Teamgeist. The teamgeist was much smoother and softer. WHen I say it was hard, i mean the type of hard that has nothing to do with the pressure. It was just hard.

I just don't get it. My teamgeist was soft for a bit, then became solid. I bought the mercurial veloci hi-vis thinking it would give me the grip/smoothness I wanted.

I use the Select Jinga, it feels great and has lasted a long time. Select balls are quality in my experience
