Im SO happy with the 4 new signings... Seroiusly.. well, lets see how the french kids respond.. but Harry was a signing I wanted a LONG time ago, and he is a genius. I like Finnan a lot, and admired his work in the World Cup... so, who are we missing to get the perfect signings this season?
I say its Joe Cole...
Who would you like to sign?

I think we are done. Maybe a central defender but that's about it and it would only be cover for injuries/suspensions.

We don't need Joe Cole. One of the most overrated players in the Premiership. If he wasn't English people nobody would care about him.

Who would you like to sign? Let's get a bit greedier, why don't we? :)

Honestly, I thought our budget for this summer should be in the 5-6 million pound range, given the loss of CL revenue. Looking at the talent we got, and the fact that we came in just over that number, I'm quite pleased. In fact, any more big signings (or little signings, for that matter), and I'd start to worry that we'd be heading down the path to Elland Road.

I wouldn't turn down Cisse.

I really think they need an American trialist. Someone with no real football talent, but whose winning personality will make him the darling of Melwood and thus secure him a permanent spot on the LFC payroll. I believe I answer that description very well indeed. Now if Matt will kindly get the ball rolling on this, I'll be much obliged. :p

Hmmm....Hawaii v. Liverpool in February.

That's a tough choice to make, LF...

Allthough, if you do go.....

Any chance I can get your place out there for a few weeks. Seeing as how you'd be in Liverpool.

Don't know that you'd want it. I live on a military base now. :(

From an outsiders' perspective, you need another striker of proven quality now. Owen can't do it on his own, Baros hasn't fulfilled his potential thus far, and Heskey...................well we all know what he's like.

Apparently they already have one in Will Johnson from Chicago. He is a teenager and I think eligible to play for England and Canada -- could be wrong about that though.

He may be a good option if the LiverpoolFanatic thing doesn't work out.

Good call, he's probably comparatively cheap. If Duff moves to Chelski, I'd love to see him move to Blackburn, with Etherington, Reid or even that Van Der Vaart replacing Damien.

Eh?? I don't think that's a fair statement. He hasn't "fulfilled his potential" b/c he's an effing kid who hasn't had the minutes yet. But the times he did play last season, he was outstanding. This season will be the time he shows what he's made of.

I agree that this is an area of the club that needs strengthening. But I would be a little more ambitious than you and look to get a player who could genuinely push Hyppia and Henchoz or at least complement them with a slightly different skillset - Boumsong for instance.

I think that having a slightly more mobile center-half with the skill of our current defenders would do more to help re-shape our midfield than purchasing yet another midfielder.

As it is, our defenders are fairly vulnerable to the pacy counterattack, which leads to tentative positioning by the central midfielders (esp the nominal dmid) and limits our ability to develop greater possession in the attacking end.

This is very evident when Stevie G tries to play in Hamanns role.

Speaking of Boumsong... (http://sports.yahoo.com/sow/news?slug=afp-fbl_fra_eng_pr_auxerre&prov=afp&type=lgns)

Looks like he will be available on a Bosman, but not until next summer unless Auxerre decided they don't want to lose him for nothing.

Would Zamora not be worth 2M?

I'm sure with Owen, Heskey, & Baros, Liverpool could find enough playing time to help further his growth. He seems the tall-can put head on ball-kinda of player that would compliment Owen upfront.
