At least there weren't two Alexandre Hlebs on the pitch or we would've had some REAL problems! :D

^^ Clearly you haven't been watching Arsenal too closely this season, Hleb has been class!

I'm banking on the idea that he meant that it would have been worse had I seen two Hlebs, considering Hleb wasn't even on the field.

* ding ding ding ding ding WINNER *

Hleb was back in London... So if you saw him on the pitch you'd really need to get your eyes examined.

:D

Gotta say though, I'll take yesterday's result anytime. Going on the road to a place as difficult to play as Prague while losing four starters... A draw is an excellent result.

I agree, he's been my MOM for every Arsenal game i've watched this year.

About 3 or 4. It's always between he and Cesc.

Ah fak, now you remind me. I had a nice full beard going on, and decided to shave it all off before I went in for an extra science lesson today...

I've still got a 'pires' though...

so i just got back home from a wonderful excursion. i went to the soccer.com warehouse sale and picked up a few things for even fewer bucks. i got cactus vapors, f50.7, and a couple shirts and other odds and ends. then i had a nice night on the town with some friends i was staying with. good times had by all but now off to work.

My current team played the team I left at the end of last season today. And lost 7-0. I'm still injured obviously but it does not stop the pain :(

You need Red and White Army and his beautiful left hook.

So how does this sound for tomorrow: waking up late (whoo hoo!) and then going to a local pub where they're going to have a fan announcement of a Seattle MLS team. Then I get to watch Arsenal against Reading! Bloody brilliant!

I would be going to the Arse v Reading, but 1) its a work night 2) Reading is a muhfcka to get to from my house and 3) its on Setanta anyway, so may as well stay at home and watch it (for the first time this season...)

Soo I am sitting here waiting for the draw/picks show to come on for the women's NCAA Div 1 tourney. It's on tv in an hour, and I've been anxiously waiting since the Niners beat Fordham yesterday to see who they will play, and where!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!

On a nother note, my birthday is 2 weeks from today :)

I don't really see it as that good of an idea. I mean, maybe a new venture in Seattle might spark interest in sports.. but statistically, the Sonics have been amongst the worst attendance in the NBA the past 4 or 5 seasons at least, and that's why they're on the move soon. The Mariners, aside from 3 top years of attendance(the Ichiro craze), attendance has progressively declined since to the point they're just barely above average amongst other teams in the MLB. Even the Seahawks, who are typically in contention year after year for a playoff spot(because of one of the worst divisions in football), aren't in the top half of attendance leaders.
