How much wrath can one man bring when he only has one leg with which to chase?

Haha oh the good-ol Cornex, I haven't been there in a while! Not since my mates ran an R&B nite there which was great until Lemar came out and I had to walk out... Yea time to time some of the better standup tours come thru and thats where they usually go, anyone who appreciates Al Murray may understand the joy I had the night I went to see him live and he hauled my Psychology Professor on stage, man did he ever roast that dude!
I see from your description you met Rupert, Cuthbert and "mummy's got a yaucht"bert  yea those guys are soooo cool! The students actually make it like 2 different worlds, plus all the thousands of tourists taking pictures of all these old buildings we used to get kicked off of when we skated...
And back to R&W's docusoap, my IE crashes when I try n play that vid, think it's tryin to tell me summit!!!
(cue bigg saying "get firefox")
No doubt though the buildings and cobbled streets are lovely. Didn't even see a Police car the whole time I was there! So I could Speeeeeeeeeeeeeeed!

Oh what a night!
To start with I must shoulder some of the blame, England never do well if I a)don’t watch live or b) wear a replica shirt, so me going to work and sky+ing the game whilst wearing an England shirt defn didn’t help matters…
I did well in avoiding the score, even circumnavigating the footy-lovin pub that’s slap in the middle of my route home. I even arsed about for an hour b4 starting watching the game without reading the plethora of txts I was getting presumably about it. The extremely dull performance didn’t help the 2 hours sleep id had the night b4, and shortly into the 2nd half I noticed I was losing minutes with the “big nod”, so I flicked onto the soccer-neutral sky1 and had an old man nap in front of ut telleh! Alas when I awoke all my nightmares were reality as Jolene Lesserscott was actually playing international football, making me miss that unShorey chump I also never heard of!
Sure the pitch was a joke, I mean how can UEFA announce it’s upholding it’s ban saying that very pitch must be re-laid to host the CL final, but at same time say it’s fine for an international Euro Champs qualifier to go ahead there? The whole “it gets 80.000 spectators in instead of 30k elsewhere” is the biggest load of BS I ever heard, by that argument u could have made the New Orleans Saints play in the the superdome whilst it was still flooded…. But yea the pitch was same for both sides, what wasn’t was the suffocating tactics McSven imposes, dear mother of all fudge-ups that guy… SWP is flat-out TERRIBLE, it made me wanna cry when he scored at wknd coz I knew that’d mean imbeciles would think he did summit and he’d play 2nite. It’s sad as I see kids at my job making more sensical picks when they choose teams than that chump does, sure occasionally a less-skilled “best friend” gets the rub but not to the extent that Downingsyndrome gets play!
Sidenote, why oh why is David Platt allowed to talk his sheer nonsense at us whilst England play? Is it just to distract our fury from the manager as his increasingly absurd observations and ridiculous and incredulous statements take the focus away from McSven slipping in Kieron Dyerbolical’s 300th substitute cap!!!! Both Russian goals illustrated his inadequacy “as I was looking at that I was 100% certain it’s a penalty” (as the replay shows that not only was the Roon’s contact outside the box by several yards but dude also tripped over his own heel!) and then the claim that the Russian centre-forward showed “great centre forward play” as he “reacted quicker then Lescott” (whilst Lescott’s slow reaction somehow managed to get to the ball first as he clearly turns it into his own net). Perhaps im being overly critical of Platt, I mean it can’t be hard to have a skewed perception when you’ve been idolised by Ray freakin’ Parlour….
Both Russian goals were testament to how out of his depth Lescott was, dude got severely found out for both (pressing the ball when he should have picked up the guy Roon had, then cumbersomely turning the ball home on the 2nd), but u can’t blame the guy, he can only play to his modest ability if an imbecile will insist on picking him.
Id like to make like a Joey Cole and whine and bitch about how unfair it was, that the peno presents a great case for video-replay (which it does, shut-it u out-dated conservative idiots), that the pitch was shambolic (u c that guy almost snap his groin when he landed in THE DRAIN 18inches from the touchline!!!!), but at the end of the day if u took all that evidence to a high court im sure the judge would turn round and go “ahhh but yes, u still played 4-5-1 didn’t you, u know ur rubbish at that!” and id have to hold my hands up and say “ur right, we deserved

You leave Lescott alone! It's just stupidity on McClarens part. The guy was nervous. How would you feel if your manager only deems it necessary for you to train with the squad for a week. Get 15 minutes against ESTONIA then puts you in for the best part of the game in a big qualifier against Russia and take to it like a duck to water. It's stupid. ALTHOUGH! Not as stupid as putting Downing on in his place. That was awesome!
Worst player on the pitch....Gerrard.

I am a big fan of Lescott but Case is right, he was out of his depth (considering his best position is at CB), but Dellci is also right that it's McDickhead's fault he was out of his depth.

i hate politics but this has to be the most inhuman and degrading thing that has been said on the floor of congress. the issue at hand was a bill that our president vetoed that would have given government health care to 10~ million middle class kids. here is the catch though. it was funded with tobacco taxes. fund health care with anti-health care. brilliant!!! there is more to it than that such as socialized medicine (hows that work for you bigg???) in america.
these are the words from rep. pete starks (d-ca.)
“You don't have money to fund the war or children,'' he said. "But you're going to spend it to blow up innocent people if we can get enough kids to grow old enough for you to send to Iraq to get their heads blown off for the president's amusement."
now think of ever man and woman that give their life for this idiot to speak freely in the capital of the united states. i guess when you have friends return home draped in an american flag or limbs missing, it really hits home.:mad::mad:

I tried to watch it (even tho the temptation of Florida Vs Kentucky was great!) however I just cannot get Posh Egg-Chasing, I mean League is manned up and makes sense, but either Union is a very badly thought out game or England (especially) are very, VERY good at it to overcome their frequent rudimentary errors! I mean the kicking game, whats that about?!?! I know such an occassion has pressure but it just grates me when players kick to touch and don't find it, I mean at that level I EXPECT reliable competence, you'd get that in any other top sport and it's been professional long enough not to use that excuse.
Also the rules and ethos are crazy IMO, I do love the respect officials get, and the fact they are required to earn it by constantly providing explanations for their decisions (id love the scouse derby ref to explain how it wasn't a peno last min in front of the goodison crowd!!!), but it dumbfounds me how come the cheap stuff off the ball (shoving prone/defenseless players to ground/into advert boards) and dirty stuff around the ball (studding floored opponents in rucks, sly head shots in mauls) goes un-punished whilst seemingly inoccuious fouls "hands in a ruck", "not coming square on" are penalised with huge implications (possible 3 points from anywhere in opponents half!). The restarts are also ridiculous, the pretence that the ball has to go in straight to lineouts or scrums, when it's clear that this is never enforced...
I admit I don't understand the rules, which is why they confuse me, but I recall not understanding American Football rules YET the game itself still makes sense. As union works theoretically once u have posession u should score every time bar an error, YET the scoring team RECEIVE a kickoff (and thus regain posession)- I recall playing school and county rugby where we'd run the ball back for a score on every kickoff, by the second half the other team wouldn't even touch the ball bar the kicker choosing who'd score for us!
It makes no sense, the players at the highest level have appauling technical ability that is inexcusable, and it's traditionally played by private school toffs with thumbs up each others asses in scrums! So yea congrats SA on being a far, FAR better team, but quite frankly im glad MY England are no-longer World Champs, so now everyone can stop pretending to care about such a stupid game!

To sum that up...
England are no good at Rugby but for some reason got to play in the final. South Africa are 100 times better and deserved to win.
Also, Rugby Union rules are silly, and I don't like them.
Love,

Yes because for no reason England had a try disallowed
I don't know if that would have changed the outcome but his foot wasn't out and the benefit of the doubt should go to the attacking team, a fact that was ignored constantly by the ref and cost England on several occasions.

...I'm actually serious.
But well done anyway, South Africa were the best team in the tournament. It was even on the night, but if at least for the rugby they had played prior to the final they deserved it.

I love how I get my own translators on here!
Apparently they went to video replay, watched it 8 times and still got the try decision wrong! If thats infact the case, it's even more support for replay, as human error is CLEARLY far too big a factor if dude can mess up EVEN after watching it over and over...just need competent replay officials now!!!!!

Yup. It literally took 5 minutes of replays for him to decide. I said in the pub, the longer the replays go on the less likely they are to give it.

This weekend has been complete bollocks for me. First Everton get denied two clear penalties in the Derby and we lose. We get ********ed over in the rugby when a clear try got denied, and now Lewis Hamilton has been screwed.
How is it that the week before they gave Lewis the wrong tyres, when they have at least 60 people scrutinising the decision. Yet Alonso got the right ones. Now this week Hamilton's engine cuts out, once again Alonsos didn't. I mean wtf.
