I wonder what the game would have been like if a different ref was in there.

We played really well. One of those games that could've been a tie, instead lost by 2 since we were pushing for the equalizer. I think about 80 minutes in, we actually had more shots than Brazil.

Oh yeah 1st page.

Can we flame the ref for one of the worst non-calls against Wolff in the box.
I'd also love to flame Convey for being one of the most one-dimensional players i've ever seen.
There was some good play at times from Pearce, Boca, Bradley (until the stupid takedown in the box), and Cherundelo.
Brazil is still a couple steps above us, but we played well enough.

We deserved a better score line...really liked how we attacked and tried to take the game to Brazil.

The third goal for Brazil was great, but seemed like it should not have happened...was that really a foul?

Why is Bradley such a hack sometimes??????????

A different ref was definately needed.

Am proud of the boys.

Does the USSF pick the ref for these friendlies?

The final score doesn't reflect how tight the game really was. Overall, very entertaining.

We did very well in this match, sure this ref was high today with some very questionable calls , but great showings from the guys out there.

Until the PK I thought Pearce and Bradley were the best US field players out there. As for the PK, that play is exactly the kind of thing that experience should cure. Doesn't concern me at all.

That was complete crap. If the ref had tried any harder to hand that game to Brazil he'd probably be out for life by now. It's like Wynalda said when Ronaldinho got that free kick: 'just because ronaldinho says it's a foul doesn't mean it is.' Also, denying Wolff that penalty was an awful call. There's no excuse for stuff like that. Bradley was awesome until he lost us that penalty. Overall I thought the team had an awesome game. Unfortunately it isn't reflected by the score.

We were jobbed by the ref - end of story

I don't think the game was that tight. When we scored Brasil turned it on and came right back for a goal. Thought was a bit sad when we couldn't get the ball back from them towards the end.

But like I postyied earlier, I'm more interested in the individual performances than the overall team effort. We need more bodies to play with these guys that's a certainty.

The ref wasn't as bad as those silly commentators made him out to be. He certainly wasn't the reason the US lost.

I think Clint Dempsey had a pretty good game as well. I am concerned by Gooch though...he seem to be regressing...still making these silly fouls. His own goal coud have easily been prevented as well.

1) Did Benny Feilhaber play in this game. Hardly noticed.

2) Michael Bradley needs to cut out his hacking tackles late in the game.

3) Gooch needs to work on his marking.

4) The ref. got paid to do run around and not call fouls. He should forfeit his game check.

I agree, I think EJ should have started on Wolf, I mean other than that miscall wolf had , he really did nothing on top. we did turned the ball over a lot, but its nothing to kill ourselves over, we should learn from this experience and do better next time.

Wow... That no call on Wolff was s**t! Couldn't believe that happened. Bradley was pretty strong in the midfield (until that BS tackle. What was he thinking?!?). Why didn't Convey throw his face in front of the free kick? He actually leaned away from the ball, and it looked like Tim Howard was disappointed by the placement of the wall (or at least Convey's placement). Cherundolo's assist on Clint's goal was money, just ridiculous! Beautiful pass and beautiful placement of the shot.

2) Michael Bradley needs to cut out his hacking tackles late in the game.

Although he made a rookie mistake towards the end, every post ever written complaining about nepotism or Michael Bradley in general has just been dismissed.

He’s TWENTY years old…who did well against (among)the best in the world. He is no Mastroeni. He is much better.

Cut the kid some slack he did better than most players on the field its not like it was his penalty that cost us the match, remember we couldn't get the ball back at the end. I Think Adu would have been great in this game with his creative passing with Dempsey on top.
