Well, the vote is almost upon us. I am wondering how many people plan to attend. I certainly am. I went to the presentation last month and it was a great experience. Meeting Jeff Cooper was fun, he is the type of owner you want.

I am planning to attend on Monday because shoot.....this is the moment we have been hoping for since St. Louis got a forum. We can say "I was there from day one." I haven't felt like this since 1995 when the Rams arrived. And this is better, because we could potential have our own team and not a transplant.

I'll be the guy with the flat-top, the Clark Kent glasses, and the Steamers t-shirt.

St. Louis Steamers? Saw them play the Philadelphia Fever in like 1980 or something.

Best of luck on the vote. What are your impressions of the likelihood that it passes?

As for us here, we are still "visiting sites", "talking with investors" and "waiting on State money".

If both St. Louis Seattle has it's act together, it may be a long time coming for us poor souls.

What time does all this go down?

And where exactly does one go to see all this take place?

My brother and I will be there for sure, and I'm trying to talk it up with friends, but with no firm commitments yet. I was at the last one, and I wouldn't miss this one for the world.

(I'm thinking of wearing my orange Rangers away kit from 4 seasons ago, so that'll be me. I hope there are still Celtic fans to give grief to. My brother wore Rangers last time.)

If all goes well (knock on wood), where are we all celebrating afterwards? I think we may owe Cooper a couple of pints.

Based on the media reports and general talk around town, it would be a shocker if it didn't pass. But like many, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I am skipping class to do so, but I will be there. Anybody planning to meet up after to drink to our victory? (or drink to our loss, but that is something i really don't want to talk about.)

If somebody can't make it but would desparately want to know what happens right away, would somebody be so kind to quickly post the result on these boards?

I'm gonna do my best to be there. I'll be the one with no fashion sense, a jaunty waddle from different leg lengths and a build like King Kong Bundy.

Last time, all the news channels were there, so you could watch channel 2 at 9pm or 4 or 5 at 10pm.

Unless of course you're working or something and can only get to a computer. Personally, I hope to be celebrating too long to get to one to post about it. (again, knock on wood)

I can't be there, but I'll drink a few beers at home if and when the good news is announced. ;)

If anybody wants to catch a local match before the meeting there is a game around 4:30. It's between CCA, my alma mater, and Governer French, smart rich kids. It may not be the prettiest game, but it will feature Tad Kreamalmeyer, a good local prospect. Game's at 1203 Vandalia, Collinsville, IL 62234. If anyone is interested drop me a line and I'll pay for the ticket.

Please go if you can. While things to look good, nothing should be taken for granted.

In that same sentiment, make sure to contact C'ville's city council. Sure, they may not read all of it, but there is great power in sheer numbers.

If I can remember I will wear my "I heart STL" shirt with my Celtic scarf (bought for the colors, not the club). It starts at 7:30pm, but I will try my best to make it by 7:15. I might even try to get a seat this time....I don't know how long the meeting will be. Anyone know if there is more on the agenda than the stadium plan vote?

Wow, I remember playing Governor French when I was in high school. Our sweeper was on the receiving end of the worst red card call in the history of the sport, and I almost got in a fight with one of their guys. Memorable game.

That's weird they seem so sedate and nerdy now. I think they have an insane foreign coach though.

Would that be any relation to Luke Kreamalmyer of Edwardsville HS, Bradley Uni., and (OK I am stretching here) Real Salt Lake fame?

You forgot Portland Timbers. I believe he was their leading scorer last year.
But yeah it's his little brother. Heck of a midfielder.
