LONDON (AP) - The Football Association banned Derby striker Craig Fagan for four matches Thursday after finding him guilty of violent conduct.
The 24-year-old Fagan was charged after stomping on Liverpool defender Alvaro Arbeloa during Derby's 6-0 loss Saturday. Fagan went unpunished at the time as referee Alan Wiley did not see the incident. After reviewing video, Wiley said he would have sent Fagan off.
Fagan disputed Wiley's interpretation of events and denied the charge. However, the FA found him guilty and imposed an automatic three-match suspension for the offense, plus an additional match as it considered Fagan's denial to be frivolous.
In his five-year career, Fagan has received more cautions than he has scored goals. In 204 appearances, he has 41 yellow cards, three reds and 42 goals.
Derby is last in the 20-team Premier League with one point and three goals after five games.
Just a bit of news ahead of our game with the Rams. I also saw on Sky Sports News a while back that Kenny Miller may not be available due to a hammy injury. We'll have to see what happens over the course of the international break, I reckon.

I've nothing against Derby, but it's good to see Stompy McStomperson get suspended.

I've got nothing but love for Benny F but we need to stomp a hole in this poor side. 4-0 would be acceptable . 3pts and a stylish 3pts is a must.

A win is a must. This is a team that is very much struggling and they won't be too confident for even a point this weekend. We need to come out with Viduka, Owen and Martins up top. Milner on the right, Zogs on the left, Geremi and Emre in the middle. Cacapa Taylor Rozenhal in the back, unless Beye really impresses in training. Or Faye. Anyways this team will be flying from the go and will scare our opposition immensely and I can bet they won't know what to do with themselves.
Certainly the break hurts us more than them because they will be able to take their minds off of the beating a little bit but regardless I think this is the way to play.
I don't think BSA will be this aggressive, it will probably be two up top.

I hope I'm wrong, but it doesn't look like either Fox or Setanta is carrying this game in the U.S. Setanta is broadcasting Liverpool instead and Fox has no live games that day.

Isn't this Monday night's game? Usually it's on in the FSC 3pm slot Monday.
Thx,
Jay!

It is the Monday game but FSC doesn't have us picked up again until the Reading game on 27 Oct, according to their site.

Not happening when he's getting injured playing for Turkey. (http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10278%7E1111872,00.html) Maybe he'll be fit in time to go play for (and get injured again while playing for) his country next month.
I'm getting kind of tired of Emre being injured for the club and missing matches left and right, then declaring himself fit to play for Turkey when he hasn't been fit for the any of the games leading up to the break. The whole getting injured while away on international duty just rubs salt in the wound.

Fantastic, this should be a good one to watch, I'm glad Setanta altered their schedule to show this match. We should have had a half dozen goals against Wigan, a far superior team to Derby thus far, so the offensive fireworks should be great to actually see as opposed to getting text updates, which was the best I could do without the telecast.

I just read somewhere that Emre has been given a "Special Recognition Award" from the Association of Premership Physios for "Outstanding Contributions to Job Security".

Emre is officially on my "poo" list. I've held out hope that he would become a quality player on a consistant basis. Obviously, he doesn't want to play for us, so send him on his way in January.
I'm selling him in FIFA 07 tonight, as my transfer window has not closed.
