We don't need a thread this big! With the number of posters we draw to this forum a smaller thread is really the only way to go, long term.;)

This thread was really built for BIG words with lots of letters. It could never possibly be good for small words and phrases. I can't stand to look at it with all that puctuation. You better have plans for a new thread or I'll have to go with Philly and St. Louis.

Who owns this thread?
That's what I thought.
You can't expect to make a thread work longterm unless you have ownership over the thread and thus access to ALL revenues from that thread.
Threads like this have been tried in other forums! Have we learned nothing from 12 seasons of MLS posts in bigger threads that MLS doesn't own?

Thread renters will never make it.......

I am confused is this a multi purpose thread, or is it a word specific thread?
Does this thread have a concert configuration?

Sure it is...... don't you see the stage down at the south end?

This thread might fold due to lack of complete control of revenue streams.
Unless you, the people of this thread, help build a smaller thread for us to post in, we may be forced to move this thread to the Dall-ass boards.
We are practicing our diving and clutching at limbs just in case this becomes necessary. But we hope the community can see what this thread means to all of us, and the hope it provides for the kids. We want our posts to continue working right here, in this thread, in the fine tradition of previous threads that came before.

I have heard rumors that this thread could be moved to San Antonio.....where a big thread is OK because they have talked about starting a smaller, more intimate thread....... but there are no real plans.... just talk. Maybe in a couple years we can get the opportunity to start a new thread with the SAME TITLE as long as we promise to search for a smaller, more intimate thread location. San Antonio will get to keep our words and we'll have to come up with new ones.

I don't like all the empty space around this thread. Either we fill it with more words, or we need to somehow screen off the emptiness.

I want to meet the small thread supporters in a unlit big thread alley. :D

The problem with these threads that everybody wants is that they are all "cookie cutter" threads. Where's the originality? What if after you start a small thread....... you want to make it bigger? Perhaps this thread should be moved to Midway or Tukwila until the league and the US are ready for bigger threads. IT 'IL NEVER WORK!!!!! WE'RE DOOMED!

As an out of towner, I think you all are expecting to much of this thread. It will never be more than 1/3 full.

Your just jealous Bryan because you cannot have a thread like this in Philly. :D

We are expecting to need this big of a thread at least twice a year when Beckham posts here.

I for one am willing to sacrifice the rest of the posts for Beckham's two. I'm sure he'll have something profound and insightful to say.

That is if Beck's typing fingers aren't strained from posting in club and international forums. Perhpas Lalas should let his finger heal.

I think we should get Zidane as our designated blogger. He's written big threads before and I think might be keene on the Pacific Northwest writing tradition. We also have a large program for young writers, which is reknown nationwide, for putting out excellent non-fiction writers. That being said, I think Zidane could outwrite Becks any day! Vive la France! Allez Le Toux, best fiction writer who became a poet!
