The Swedish Cup final is tomorrow at Råsunda Stadium in Stockholm. A crowd of about 15,000 is expected to be at the stadium to see Assyriska try and defeat Elfsborg to finish what has been a very good cup run for the Superettan team, with 3 victories already over Allsvenskan sides (Djurgårdens IF, IFK Göteborg, and Örebro)
This is Assyriska's 1st appearance in the final, while Elfsborg are making their 4th appearance. They lost the final in 1942 to GAIS, lost again to Kalmar FF in 1981, lost to AIK in 1997, and defeated AIK for their only cup win in 2001.
The winner of the match is not only the Swedish Cup champions, but they also recieve a spot in next season's UEFA Cup. For Elfsborg, this is the first of two chances to earn a spot in that competition. Elfsborg won this season's Fair Play League, and should Sweden place high enough in UEFA's Fair Play League, Elfsborg would earn that spot in the UEFA Cup. Should Elfsborg win the Swedish Cup, and earn the Fair Play slot, Östers would be given the Fair Play birth in the UEFA Cup.
The Final can be seen live in Sweden on Kanal 5, as well as by anyone picking up Medya TV off satellite. Medya is apparently a Kurdish satellite service, picking up the match due to Assyriska's participation. Kickoff is at 3:30 tomorrow, Swedish time.

For you guys who don't know nothing about Assyriska
Assyriska is a club created by Assyrian immigrants in the 70's.
So you can imagine the great upset when they beat the Swedish champions Djurgården with 4-0!
But Assyriska is a good team who plays good football, not like the other Swedish elit teams that plays long balls/boring football.
I support them with all my heart at the National Stadium Råsunda.
