Alright.... I tried a search, but couldnt find anything related to this. I got my Direct TV last night with my MLS SHOOTOUT package.

The installer explained that games more or less, would be pretty much constantly shown during the day..
I went to the MLS channels and all I got was a black screen, with schedule on the bottom of the screen not corresponding with the time of the scheduled match..
I called customer service, and she proceeded to tell me maybe "it was blacked out". I told her that I though the point of the package was to AVOID blackout.. She corrected herself and agree with me... Then she said, well we try to show MOSt of the games...
In other words she didn't know what was going on..

Is there someone that has the package that can explain where I can go to get a list of when these games are on. Do they show repeats of last weekends games? when is the MLS recap show on?

I am sure it has been covered already so sorry to rehash it.. I am just impatient and want simple answers that direct TV cant seem to give me..

Thanking you in advance..

I have it on cable. It only shows games live. So there may be one or two on Wednesday and 3 or 4 on Saturday. Games are on separate channels and overlap each other, so you may have been misinformed.

No MLS recap show as far as I know. That's on FSW.

MLS Shootout shows all telecasts covered by a regional network (not including HDNet) live. It does not show repeats or the ESPN2 game of the week.

On my version of the SO (digital cable), when there's no game going on (which is of course most of the time), it shows the schedule for the next day's games.

The inDemand web site has a schedule of games that are telecast on the package on digital cable, I imagine the DirectTV schedule will be almost identical.

The MLS Wrap show airs on Fox Sports World, usually late Saturday at midnight eastern (but seems to be moving around the next couple of weeks).

The screen will be black if there's no game on at the moment. Sometimes there's a blue screen for a few minutes right before a match. Other times it's straight to the game.

Basically you won't know if it's OK or not until this weekend. Tune in right when the first match is supposed to be on and if it comes up you're good to go. If not then call and complain.

As for showing all the matches - all the matches with local coverage are on the DirecTV shootout. That means all the matches carried on the local Fox Sports networks and MSG, etc. are on it. Some matches have no TV at all and some matches only have national TV (ESPN2 and HDNet). Those matches aren't on the Shootout.

Also, DirecTV has messed up the time a few times this season. For instance, they missed the first half of an LA game a couple weeks ago. Keep your eye out for that kind of thing and give them a call if you see the mistake early enough.

Their schedule is here: http://www.directvsports.com/

Oh, and the customer service people don't know anything. Try to talk to a supervisor if you hit a dead end.

The only way that you can get repeats of games (assuming you didn't tape them / use PVR) is to find the repeats on the regional sports networks or to subscribe to Yahoo! Platinum. Yahoo! Platinum games are available live (but blacked out live locally while the game is being played in the home markets of the teams involved) and all games that have been broadcast are archived and available for later viewing.

One check you could do right now:
1) Go to channel 794, which is the first MLS Shootout channel.
2) If you see a message on the bottom of the screen that's goes something like "For ordering information, please call customer service, ext. 7nn", then DirecTV has not set up your account for the Shootout package. Hopefully, you will not see this message.

Enjoy the dish. After yearly price increases and lousy service from AT&T Broadband (now Comcast) in Sharon, MA, I dumped cable and got DirecTV. I've been very happy with it.
