I also like this bit, from further down in the column:

"The St. Louis Police Soccer Club is hosting the 28th annual North American Police Soccer Tournament, Thursday through next Saturday at the Anheuser-Busch Soccer Park in Fenton...Some 32 police soccer teams from North America will compete in men's and women's divisions. The St. Louis police men's club is defending champ."

You know, if you think about it, being a general sports columnist/commentator in this country would be a tough job -- at least to be a good one. Football, baseball, basketball, soccer, pros and college, throw in a little hockey and golf and tennis... realistically, it's more than any one guy can handle paying attention to.

So anytime a guy like Miklasz can throw in a good word for us, it's a good thing.
