Here's to another season of pure pigskin goodness. Let's start a fire. :D

Edit: Let's not start a fire because there are some serious fires around the world right now. We don't need another.

My predictions:
Super Bowl: Saints VS Chargers
Super Bowl Winner: Chargers
Rookie of the year: Adrian Peterson
MVP: Steven Jackson
Defensive MVP: DeMarcus Ware
Coach of the year: Mike Martz (Lions)
Breakout years: Vincent Jackson, Matt Leinart, JP Losman, Brandon Jackson
Busts: Vince Young, Shaun Alexander, Tavaris Jackson, Matt Shaub
Teams that will exceed expectations: Lions, Cardinals, Jaguars,
Teams that won't be up to par: Vickings, Packers, Falcons, Raiders, Deadskins, Bucs, Panthers, Chiefs, Texans, Titans, Dolphins, Browns, Packers, 49ers, and Seahawks.

I'm amped up for the regualr season!!!

So you are expecting Rod Marinelli to be sacked within the first few weeks, Mike Martz taking over and winning coach of the year?

Hey it can happen.

Edit: I though Martz was the coach. I guess that makes the coach of the year none other than Wade Phillips of the COWBOYS!!!

You have Tarvaris Jackson as a bust. Chances are he'll be in the middle, with the Vikes RB's and O-line he won't have to pass often. I personally rate him, but I also thought our offense wouldn't be the anemic butt******** it was last year.

To me he's a poor man's Byron Leftwich. The Vikes should be able to have some sucess running the ball but do they have any WRs that will make any noise? Anybody? Troy Williamson does not count. Neither does Robert Ferguson. Neither does Jason Carter. I'm surpised you guys didn't try to make a move for a decent WR. There were farely decent 2nd stringers on the market. Sorry to sound like a Vickings hater because I have no issues with them.

I like the guy but we won't know until he gets out there in games that count. He does have the right attitude which counts for a lot.

Troy Williamson couldn't catch a cold. Robert Ferguson is a decent receiver if he stays healthy, which he can't. Sidney Rice has made some good grabs in the preseason but it's preseason.

The Vikes will live or die with the running game this year. Their defense is improved, specifically the pass rush. The Lions are improved but the Packers are horrid. The Bears are the Bears. I can see the Vikes getting 9 wins if lucky but really can't see them doing any better. Squeaking into the playoffs would be a major success imo.

True dat man. The NFC North is really looking weak this year. Both the Packers and Vikings improved on defense and the Lions and Vikings improved on offense. That's a +2 advantage for you lot IMO. Adrian and Chester the Jester will have to be runnin for their lives so it can oopen up the passing game for Jackson. Forgot about Rice. I hear he's a midgit barnburner. Could be good but rookie WRs give me headaches.

Da Bears will not be feared at all this year. I think they are overrated and overhyped. Losing Thomas Jones is gonna come back and bite them where it hurts. Grossman is not the answer but at least they have Griese.

"HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS!!!!The most f'cking irritating catchphrase in all sports. I don't particularly like or dislike the Cowboys, but everytime I hear that it drives me a little closer to the latter.

Unless they have serious injury problems, I don't see how they can win less than 10 games this season. Their defense is good enough to win 8 games by themselves, and they play in the weakest division.

I thought you would like the Gaelic football more than NFL Billy?

BTW Your Irishboys will take one hell of a beating in that Rugby world cup final. England to do you?;)
