but I love Pete Vagenas. player of the year in my book.
edit: I like Landon, too. and Xavier's really growing on me now, I think he was a worthwhile investment for them.

Heartbreaking loss for those guys, but we've felt much worse, I don't feel as sorry for them as much as I didn't want to see a Mexican team win that tournament.

Agreed.
The tournament was designed to be MLF vs MLS.
And the results are in.....one of the best -- current form -- MLF teams barely squeaks by the resident MLS "pub team." LA is the absolute worst (per league standings) MLS team.
I, for one, look forward to Superliga '08. And I don't think I'm alone.
Hope it's a home-and-home style.

I think it's a valuable tournament, and have always (read, this year) looked to this site (http://www.rrac.net/singletablemls/)for standings, as it incorporates all the various tournaments.

I didn't see the first half, but the Gals had a ridiculous number of opportunities to win the game in the second half. The Pachuca keeper made some great saves, but I honestly think that any other team in the MLS, even Salt Lake, Toronto or the cRapids would have put at least one of those chances away. Of course if LA had any other goalkeeper other than Joe Cannon, they'd have probably been 4 or 5 down before they even had those chances.
Beckham is set to be out for another 6 weeks (http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/30082007/58/euro-2008-beckham-set-miss-qualifiers.html). What an awesome investment he's proving to be! :p

LAG could screw up a wet dream. That was funny stuff. After that whole "raising the dead voodoo" that Landy does I was happy to see him choke.
PK's aren't saved, their missed.

It was nice to finally see Joe Cannon lose in PKs. Too bad it wasnt with Colorado.
