I'm calling a Semi Final with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool and Manchester United, as previously stated in my big post :) (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=591294)

The champions league is such a crapshoot that any of these teams have an equal chance of winning it: Barcelona, Real, Sevilla, Valencia, Chelsea, ManU, Liverpool, AC Milan, Inter, Lyon.

Oops, for some reason I thought it was a "Who do I want to win." I naturally chose Lyon, but realistically, I am voting Valencia. They are good across the board and deserve it after so many fine performances.

A semi-final without Milan?
What are you on?

It's funny to see Chelsea and Barca as the two most popular picks. Out of the 1 seeds I think they got the two toughest groups. I'm not even sure if Chelsea is 100% with Schalke and Valencia in the group. Barca has Lyon, Stuttgart and Rangers.
I think out of the big clubs Real, Man Utd and Inter got slightly easier groups. Especially Real, so that is definitely an advantage.

The exact same reasons I didn't call them for a top pick last year, except this year it _should_ happen.
Your team is too old! Ronaldo has glass for ankles and Kaka can only do so much.
Trust me, I won't mind being pleasantly suprised if ACM do make it to the semi's and beyond again, but I just don't think it will happen this time.
imo. :)

Schalke will win it all. Or they will have a goal lead going into the last minute and blow it to Seville.

I don't think Barca's overloaded attack is going to work well this year -
Chelsea are still trying to establish their own European tradition without ever really having one, its not a logical argument but in most cases it helps to have previous success to win one of these things...even if its success that was 50 years prior -
Inter are hopeless as always -
Real Madrid will struggle to make it out of the group stage imo.
My favorites are ManU, Liverpool, Milan, Roma, Sevilla, and my darkhorse is CSKA Moscow!

Real will not win the CL...but they will perform well.....thanks to Sneijder. Their offense is far from bad.....however, their defense will be the key.
Yes, I also tend to say that Barcelona will win this year. Barca or Liverpool.
ROMA????????? That was a good one!
Rather would Shakhtar Donezk win the CL, than Roma.

I do not know how you cannot include Arsenal, they reached the final two years ago, have a excellent current first team and are now better without Henry, they have more quality in their squad than any of the three German teams.

They've been saying that Milan have been too old for years, but yet they've been the most successful team in the CL over the last five years without doubt. Its unwise to discount a team of their calibre.
Plus, with the likes of Nesta, Gattuso, Pirlo, and Kaka, they have at least four world class players who are all in their prime.
I pick them to repeat as champions, difficult as that may be.
