wonder if they're magic has run out after a couple seasons...

Legrottaglie has left, Lupatelli back to to Roma...and they replace him in goal with ancient Marchegiani.
Perotta could still go too, plus late in the season last yr Chievo seemed to have lost a spark.

I hope they have another option in goal:

I'm thinking the overachieving ends this year...tho adding Sculli was a good move up front..

I was thinking of starting a thread for Chievo, too. Or looking up Brian Cappillieri's original one. Anyway, thanks.

They've been quite active in the market. Mostly selling, so perhaps you're right. Blowing that last game and missing out on the UEFA Cup was a big blow for them. This season, we'll see how good Del Neri really is.

I think Del Neri is very good -- he has to be, they always sell and he's put together 2 great seasons regardless..

still I think it catches up to them eventually...and I can see them in the 10-15 range rather than challenging for a UEFA cup place again...

Chievo has acquired Roberto Baronio on loan from Lazio. From Lazio's bench, that is. He displayed so much promise in his U-21 days. He should never have left Reggina.

things really soured for him on loan to Perugia last year...where he was labeled a "negative player"

Del Neri's a good coach and Chievo has a good atmosphere so if Baronio is to succeed thats a great place for him...

Ha! I'd completely forgotten about the Perugia loan. Shows how much he played for them.

BTW, nice new kits from Lotto for Chievo:

Here's an article about the Lotto deal.
