not only did the derby come just at the right time to get the team pumped, so does this midweek match against FCSM. nothing to clear away he cobwebs like matches, and if we manage 9 points in 7 days the slow start will be a faint memory. and the crying need for those points insures that this match will be taken seriously, which would have been the only danger.
because sochaux is in bad shape. not only did they lose perrin but also ziani, leroy and le tallec. to make matters worse grax and brechet are injured. and to make matters even worse than worse, they picked up dalmat this summer :p!
they have allowed 10 goals in 5 matches and only have 2 points... but it's true they got those points against PSG and lille.
On the OL side, we'll see bodmer and toto in defense again, since müller seems to have aggravated his knee and anderson has a calf strain they want to be careful about. juni also picked up a little something against ASSE and is questionable.
the ideal would be to score a bunch, with keita and govou having good showings, and in case of a 4-4-2, a goal from baros. that would get a lots of cobwebs out.

Hey, don't knock Dalmat. He's actually been playing well according to match ratings across the board.
I doubt that OL will play 4-4-2.

Why not a 3-5-1-2?
What is OL strength? sounds like offense,
so why not push forward and try and outscore
your opponents?

Le Tallac might sign before the window closes.

That would be quite a good move for them, as ASM appear to have been right on Nicolas Maurice-Belay. NMB isn't good enough to attempt to replace Ziani, or even Jérôme Leroy.

I would venture to say that no team has EVER done a 3-5-1-2...

the group for sochaux:
Baros, Belhadj, Benzema, Bodmer, Clerc, Fabio Santos, Govou, Grosso, Kallström, Keita, Mounier, Paillot, Rémy, Réveillère, Roux, Squillaci, Toulalan, Vercoutre.
injured : Coupet, Hartock, Müller, Cris, Cleber Anderson, Ben Arfa, Fred, Juninho
not chosen: Beynié.
as fond as i am of the 4-3-3, this group calls for a 4-4-2... i mean, who's going to help us beat sochaux more, baros or fabio santos?
benzema baros
belhadj govou
källstrom toulalan
grosso-bodmer-squillaci-réveillère
vercoutre
that's how you line up. with a real lefty on the left. sid on the right just to let keita have a taste of the bench. RVR because clerc will play twice in blue soon.
the armband? toulalan.

England does it all the time. I believe it explains how come they usually play without a keeper :D

Hmm it should work. It gives a list of a couple games with the Lyon match being at the bottom. It gives a list of a couple video streams. If the link Inara posted doesnt work for you try to go to myp2p.eu, then click on Weekdays, and then you should see the link for the Sochaux-Lyon match.
Edit: I see why it doesn't work, because I accidently put another Http://, the link Inara posted is the proper one.

Sopcast for the sopcast links; TVants for the TVants links.
Personally speaking, I think sopcast is easier to understand, whereas I still haven't figured out how to configure TVants (a lot of it is in Chinese) - though TVants has more channels.

Karim Benzema scores in the 20th minute. But before we can break out the party hats, Mathieu Bodmer pulled on a Sochaux player's shirt in Lyon's penalty area. Sadly, Sochaux scored. Now it's 1-1.

OMG we are totally being dominated by Sochaux. Our backline is leakier than a sieve.
EDIT: Perrin is going with a 4-3-3, with Fabio Santos in the midfield. I think Benzema is playing on the wing.

Is Sochaux THAT good?

It's not even that Sochaux are that good but that Lyon's defenses are so vulnerable. Lyon look dangerous on the attack, but as soon as Sochaux counters, it's like panic. And that seems to be making Bodmer, Vercoutre, and Squillaci even more nervous.
I'm glad the Champions League hasn't started yet.

Sounds a lot like the OM-Nice game tonight. Marseille looked really dangerous, but the defense just folded every time Nice came with numbers on the counter attack.
