In case you had not seen it, you can pre-register your email address for season ticket information (and other STL United updates) here:
http://www.stlouissoccerunited.com
It may feel a bit premature--given that we don't have a team yet--but registering is a concrete show of support; and perhaps large numbers of enrollees might help strengthen the STL United case for an MLS franchise.

I signed up and am convincing my pick up soccer game buddies to do the same. We need to get the word out.

Also, if you register, Jeff Cooper sends you an email whenever he posts a new blog to the SLSU website. I figure if he's willing to put up $2 million of his own money and risk looking like an ass, the least I can do is register for season tickets.;)

These are all more reasons for me to believe that Cooper feels this is a slam dunk. You wouldn't float the word "season tickets" around without confidence in the product, would you?

Done and done!
I actually registered the first day someone posted the website (pre-Collinsville meeting). If we get the team (knock on wood), I'm hoping the two years of build-up time will allow for season ticket sales to go well over the 5,000 mark. I don't know if that's a bit optimistic, but I think it seems reasonable, considering the sport's history in this town, plus the anticipation time.

It's not established; we don't have a team yet. The link provided is pre-registration for season ticket info. Seemingly, it's a way for fans to show their interest in season tickets as well as for Cooper to begin some marketing.

Just in case it isn't clear to everyone, all this does is add your email address to an announcement list. It is a good idea to add yourself to the list, since a large list represents strong support for the effort to secure a team, but you are not committing yourself to anything.

I think its just something for Cooper to present to the MLS as ammunition. I don't think this is a done deal, but if 5000 people (I'm being optimistic) sign up, Cooper can tell the MLS that 5000 people are already signed up for possible season tickets even without a team. If he has a starting number that is higher than Seattle or Philly then that helps our cause.

Just for comparison...
Season tickets in KC (17 games) cost $15 per ticket for a general admission section seat ($255 for the season) and $19 per ticket for a sideline reserved section seat ($323 for the season).
That's not too bad.
Now tickets prices in DC are quite different...
Season tickets in the 'club' section are $1000, Mazzanine - $630, VIP - $468, Premium - $360, Spectator - $270.
