He busted his ass to get in shape this year... probably suffered a set back, I don't see any other reason for retiring. :(
Hopefully, he'll get an assistant position in the club and sticks around :(

I just saw it on Sky sports as well. heres a link http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_2690166,00.html
Its a shame he had been injured so much the last few years. He was a hell of a player.

*Comes in peace*
If the rumors are true, I will have to say that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a player that I have admired even though I am a Chelsea fan. I have loved his finsihing and his sportmanship.

Goodbye, he has been a big legend, I hope Fergie buys another striker, last season Ole did well with 11 or so goals!

The mind boggles as to why this has come about so abruptly!
I've just got in and this is the news greeting me! :(
It has to be a setback and if it was, then it's no surprise he's gone out with such dignity.
A true legend and servant of the club.
The farewell speech will be hugely emotional.
Even as this is sinking in I can feel the aftershock kicking in.
******** me, Saturday will be a massive occasion.

He better be presented on saturday and the exec's ad JCLS and Daytrippers better stay and pay their respects to a man who was a LEGEND in the true sense of the word .
A man who loved his football. Fantastic Finisher and hope to see him in an ambassador role very soon .
This is a complete shock , really thought hed see season out
