Wow. First one to reply to this thread. That hasn't happened in a while... ;)
I have been looking forward to this match for a while. I have liked the direction HSV has been going in the last several years, and feel that last year was just a fluke season for them. This year will prove to be much more fruitful. I rate them as very dangerous. They have lost Swiss boy Wicky and America's lasted hit Fielhaber in midfield, which cannot help there depth at all. I am certain they will be up for this match.
On the flipside, Bayern are playing splendid füssball, and even though it is possible that Toni may be fit in time, if we have Poldoski and/or Klose back in time, I feel confident we can manage to continue our impressive display. The midfield of Schweini-Ribery-ZeRoberto-MVB-Ailtontop is just glorious and I expect they will pose problems for Hamburg.
Lineup:
....................Kahn
Lell.........Lucio.......Micho........Lahm
.............MVB...........Ze................
.Ailtontop.......................Schweini.
....................Ribery....................
....(who every is bloody healthy)....
Kahn will be tested this match, but still sporting a woody watching Ribery take the piss out of people. Expect one woody save this match.

Will this be the first game in which we concede a goal? Might be through a PK or set piece. VDV is always dangerous.
HSV was rather weak against Bochum and still has a lot of issues to work out. Their defense was a bit suspect. I can't see us dropping points.
BTW, Feilhaber isn't with HSV anymore. He's in England with Derby.

Toni is questionable for this game, the first diagnosis spoke of 3-4 days now they speak of 7 to 10 days. Damn this sucks!

I have been in Hamburg for the last 2 weeks and I have watched a lot of their games and saw them play vs Bayer Luv live and even though I somewhat like their team they dont have a good offense. They completely revolve around vdV. Zidan works hard but does not seem able to score.
So with that and the way we have been playing I say we win and shut them out (unless we get they get a PK which then vdv will Score)
Who is will be back from injury?
Toni?
Klose?
Podolski?
Jansen?
If Klose and Toni are fit to go I say the normal 4-4-2 if not a 4-5-1

Klose, Jansen and Sosa should be back. At least they are expected back in training on thrusday next week. Podolski is already back and gathering playing practise in the second team and in the friendly on tuesday next week, so he can be expected to be in the squad next sunday. Toni is a bit doubtful, first they talked about a 3-4 days break for him and now they speak of 7-10 days which will be too late for Hamburg

I say throw Klose and Poldi up front. German National Team style.
And hell, with our midfield feeding him, how can Poldi NOT score? :p

He has been out of action since April, so I wouldn't be surprised if he misses a few chances.
I can't wait to see Podolski and Klose together with Bayern's new look midfield. Podolski will be much more dangerous this year that he has ever been before. The combination of his pace and touch will make him deadly.
Personally I think he will surprise a lot of people. Last year's team did not play to his strengths, but the squad we have now will certainly give him the kind of service that he can score from. He is much more adept at breaking the onside trap and running onto a thourgh ball than he is at knocking down long balls, or heading in deep crosses from Sagnol. The fact that our midfield finally has some creativity also means that he wont have to spend most of his time playing like and offensive mid like he did last season.

Especially since we are now playing the brand of football that truly suits Poldi's game. I expect a much better season out of him this year. Also, to be around veterans like Ze Roberto and teammates like Klose and a genius on the ball like Ribery, he will learn a lot and grow and mature as a player for sure.
