My 19 month old and I have seen the future of children's television.

And I swear it's been laced with something....:D

Mark Mothersbaugh (DEVO) was in the first episode as well.

That show is crazy.

The poorly done voiceovers kill me. Elijah Wood dancing. Mark Mothersbaugh. Just awesome.

The heavily repetitive Euro trash songs kill me.:D

I shouldn't judge without seeing the show, but it looks like "Yo Happy Hardcore" might have been a more appropriate title?

My four year old son saw an ad for this show a few months ago... maybe June. He asked me to check when it's on. I did some searching online. I told him, "Sorry, buddy. This show doesn't start until August." He said, "Awwwww." Sure enough, on August 1, he changed the page on the calendar hanging in his room. I told him, "It's August now, so you can turn the page." He said, "Today is August?" I said, "Yep.' He said, "Let's go watch Yo Gobba!" I had no idea what he was talking about. Then I remembered. I can't believe he'd been waiting for August to come around. He was pretty disappointed that it didn't start until the 20th.

But now, it has come! And he loves it. I'm up in the air. The quirkiness and the musical guests have been really cool... but the singing of the characters... wow. Pretty bad.

My wife can't stand it. But I'm sure any woman would enjoy a small rubber Muno (the red one) toy. Bwahaha. Lucky Jerry Falwell is gone.

Demonthenes: You are right. Yo Happy Hardcore could be an alternate title... or maybe it could have been named Sesame's Treet after the 90s rave classic.

BTW... the yogabbagabba web site has printable iron on pics that one can print up. My boy is reading up a storm, so he read what they were all about... so I'll be heading to the store for a blank t-shirt!

Wooo!

BTW... later episodes will feature The Shins... Biz Markie... cooool.

Lucky Jerry Falwell is gone.

Yeah he would probably have a problem with Elijah Wood.

This is some trippy shit, btw.

Sort of reminds me of the old HR Pufnstuf (spelling?) cartoons. Lord only knows what THOSE creators were using at the time.

Was just thinking the same thing. All they need is a magic flute and and Witchypoo.

I saw it on the Soup. It looks like if they just saw the Mr. Show sketch, The Altered State of Druggachusetts (which was a parody of H.R. Pufnstuf) and decided to make it a show and be able to pass it to kids without anybody finding out. They have balls. I wonder how long it will last.

Watching Elijah Wood teaching that dance reminds me of that Starburst Berries and Cream dance thing.
