Does anyone actually think any of these objectives will be met ?
that the championship of France is 3rd with index UEFA in 2012 (it is currently 4th),
that there is a victory of a French club in League of the champions from here 2012,
that two French clubs are regularly qualified for the quarterfinals of a Cut of Europe,
that 50% of the players of L1 are international (only 1/3 are it currently),
that the team of France at least includes 2/3 players resulting from the championship of France,
that 15 stages of L1 & L2 are renovated from here 2012,
that 25% of the receipt of the clubs come from the billetery
and finally that the professional arbitration is assisted video.
As long as the high taxes are there, how does he expect to accomplish most of these ? Seems to me that he's just talking out of his ass.

None of those are realistic at all.
Well, in 2012, 2/3 of the French NT could be made up of players who'd be in L1 right now, though I doubt they'd be on L1 teams then, as they'd likely be stars abroad.
Come to think of it, 2/3 is about 15-16 players. Hmmm.
Ben Arfa, Benzema, Toulalan, Bodmer, Saivet, Ducasse, Obertan, Costil, Pouplin, Briand, Dia, Nasri, Digard, Gakpé, Ménez, alright, that's a solid 15.
I think a better objective would be to have a week in which there are no 0-0 scores, J/K. :D
I mean, it's not L1's fault it has good goalkeepers and teams are stacked defensively in defensive midfield, as well as central defense.

A French team can and probably will win the CL before 2012.
More international players are in the league every year it seems, especially as more African nations begin to better organize their systems and give their players a better chance to move to Europe.
The national team can be made up primarily of L1 players only if those players remain loyal to their clubs instead of selfishly and hypocritically leaving for big money (Ribery).

If OL cant do it then no one can. 2012 is only 5 years away. Theres no other team whos even close to that level now.

He can think they're realistic because like many fans, he's a bit Panglossian.
Then again, there are no 0-0 draws this week thus far. ;)

Da ! Komrade Thiriez is right, and we must all bless his enlighted leadership. Five-year plans always speak the truth.

All the people who experienced the "Université 2000" plan (among thousands of others "year xxxx" plans) know how serious this things are in France.
And I'm sure the Komrad Stakhanov will be able to score the two goals the Plan says he must score during the 2011 champion's league final. Of course, the Komrad Stakhanov is not yet formed, but the Plan affirms he will be the striker of the Olympique Lyonnais at this date, so the Plan must be right.
We're the French ! We won't let filthy reality get in the way of our Planified Dreams ! Hasta siempre la Ligue 1 !

Well you have to start somehwere. Goals are a good thing, and so are tangible goals that one can look at and decide if they have been met or not. But there needs to be a plan, and I'm worried that the goals have been set up, but a plan of action is lacking.

Another one of his "objectives" was for France to get Euro 2016. I didnt mention it because I really dont care if they get it or not.

We won't let filthy reality get in the way of our Planified Dreams ! Hasta siempre la Ligue 1 !it's a pretty good post P-H, but don't go so quickly about equating thiriez and thorez. those of us who work in the private sector also have 3 or 5 year plans, and having goals is not necessarily dirigiste folderol.
This very existence of this programme is in itself a great thing. thiriez apparently means to run the LFP like a modern business, and by proposing this plan he's making himself accountable to something more that his expense account.
as for the objectives themselves they are:
- ambitious
- attainable
- sustainable
- complementary
as for an action plan, you can't put the cart before the horse, but i imagine there are already ideas in the works, and one of the goals, about renovating 15 stadiums, is both means and end.

i think its good that people are talking about trying to improve the league and set higher ambitions. i'm sure a lot of people scoffed when john kennedy proposed putting a man on the moon also.
