Yes, I know, its a quick compilation of highlights and there are time pressures, etc. However, there were a couple of fun boners in the last show that I thought I would share in case you missed them. BTW - I am delighted there is such a show and I trot these out only because they are somewhat amusing and not to knock their efforts:
1. In the highlights of the NE @ LA game, a 2-2 tie ultimately, as NE scores its second goal the highlight guy (Mark Rogandino?) talks of NE scoring to take a 2-1 win.
2. In the NY game (I think) there was one goal where the ball goes over the line, the keeper dives and grabs the ball about 18 inches over the line in his effort to make the save. The highlights guy chooses that goal to trot out this cliche: "And so-and-so hits the back of the net." That was actually the one goal all night that DIDN'T hit the back of the net.
