Just a throwaway note that's sure to plummet to the bottom of the page, but...

Am I (a person who's not particularly astute where tactics are concerned) the only one who thinks the US has turned into a super organized side? It seems like any time there's a wide-angle view of the pitch we're well-spaced and covering the passing lanes.

We also seem to be very disciplined to me.

When we lost the ball yes.

But when we had the ball we played positionless soccer.

Note the free movement by most of the attacking players to play anywhere on the field they saw space.

Did we play with true wing mids or a box midfield?

Ball in the middle of the field. Did we have wings on both sides of the field or were the flanks open for use by anybody? That looked like a box midfield to me.
