This show's (http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/) second season begins in just a little over a month (Monday, 9/24/07).

In the meantime, don't miss Hayden Panettiere (who plays indestructible cheerleader Claire Bennet on the show) tonight on the Late Show with David Letterman. :)

Confirmed: Kristen Bell's stay - at least 13 episodes (http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-Editors-Blog/Ausiello-Report/Exclusive-Kristen-Bell/800020731)

This is a coup d'etat for the show and she explains why she turned down Lost.

And Season 1 comes out on August 28. One week from today. Hopefully it will have lots of sweet extras.

When one door closes, another one oftentimes opens. :D

What happened to that summer 6 episode mini-series arc where they were going to introduce 6 new characters and fans would vote who would join the regular cast?

That's not a summer thing, that is going to take place in between batches of new episodes of Heroes itself. Heroes: Origins from Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heroes:_Origins) -- ooh, hey, first episode to be written and directed by Kevin Smith...

The show's producers heard the fans' complaints about how the midseason break was too long and plan to use Heroes: Origins to fill the gap.

There are like three Heroes threads on the front page alone, can any mod just combine them?

Anyway there is a new promo that has popped up on youtube (and I assume other places). It is a bit...odd.

The comic-book content that was posted on the Heroes website throughout last season will all be collected into one hardcover graphic novel that'll be sold later this year.

Here's the Alex Ross version cover:

There'll also be a Jim Lee cover version sold as well.

Just finished the first season of Heroes. I am hooked. I thought everything about it was brilliant. Can't wait for the season premier. Luckily I didn't have to suffer through that big of a wait.

Me too. :)

That's one of the best things about first watching a series on DVD, as what happened with me with Firefly.

Still, if you can watch each episode as it's first broadcast, that's generally the way to go (particularly in 16:9 HD). :D

IMHO, the series finale was poor. The pacing was just off the whole episode. Granted that is just one minor criticism of a show that was all together very interesting.

Ok, lets just get this thing on TV already. The DVR is finally empty.

I pray to god the premiere isn't as lame as the season finale was.

I hope the rest of the season is better than the season premier. It would seem that God didn't answer my prayers because unfortunately that was a stinker.

I don't know why, but I can't watch the show without thinking of other movies, shows, comics etc. and how it "borrows" from them.

That's precisely what I think when I watch the show. Now, more than last season it seems more obvious. The "coming back to kill the older guys" seems like it's from Rising Stars isn't it? Then you've got every conventional plot cliche from the new kid in school to the Hiro has to help the English dude become the legend - or is he really the legend? etc. It's tiresome already and they desperately need to spice it up.

However it's the first episode, I'm willing to give this thing some time, only until Kristen Bell appears obviously.
