KMOX 1120 AM radio

It's not specific as to exactly when Cooper will be on the air, but tune in - hopefully he can address some of the minor (IMO) concerns from that recent Post-Dispatch article.

I was just wondering if someone caught Jeff Cooper on the radio. If anyone did, I would greatly appreciate a recap of what was discussed. Thank you in advance.

Yeah, I'd appreciate it, too. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to catch the program.

I'll see if I can recall.

Just some general discussion of the past week's events for Cooper
Talk of why it would be great for St. Louis
Explained the importance of public/private partnerships with the MLS economics
Explained the success of SSS around the country and noted that the worst attendances happen to be in the cities that play in the largest stadiums. These stadiums, even with 15-20k, can feel dead compared to all of the successful SSS around the league. He also said that MLS has learned from the mistakes of previous outdoor soccer leagues in America.
Talk of St. Louis soccer history, including several Steamers players and Steve Zungul coming to the Arena.
Cooper rebuts Zimbalist, noting many of the comments we have already mentioned in another thread. He also said that unlike other projects, he is planning to have no money come from the C'ville general fund. Therefore, "if you hate soccer and you hate the development project, you don't have to pay for it as long as you never visit" (or something along those lines).

Thanks for the information. I appreciate it greatly and think that St. Louis is on the right track to get this thing done. I think that the group has done there homework on the league as well as the economic impact of the site.
