Great game today. We were missing (arguably) our 4 top defenders plus Muntari and still won easily against a squad ahead of us in the table last year that has always given us problems. And we came back to do it.
Great, great game for Utaka. I am trying to remember the last time a Pompey player went on a successful solo run as long as Utaka's goal, and the best I can come up with is Diomansy Kamara about 4 years ago (whom I'd like to have seen signed this offseason BTW).
Taylor looked surprisingly off-target today (except for the penalty). Hope it's not all this transfer talk.

I was suprised with Bolton tbh,i think they will struggle this year.
Great goal by Utaka, who along with Kanu,Benji and Nugent makes me feel we are not so in need of signing a striker as everyone felt.
3 points or more in the next 3 games and we have had a great start to the season.

Utaka is increasingly looking like a bargain for what we got him for. Very impressive so far. Just worried about the stretch during the winter when the African players are due to leave.

Yeah, Utaka and Kanu plus Muntari will go. Good thing We'll have Lauren (retired). Does anyone know if zim are in a good position to qualify?

They have been eliminated. Nigeria (Utaka and Kanu) are in. Ghana (Muntari) are in as hosts. Mali (Traore) need to beat Togo away September 8th, and if they do, they are in. They could still be in with a draw or loss, but they'd need a lot of unlikely help.
