The best actor of all times turned 64 today. He's been in a ridiculous number of classics and great movies, but I can only list 16 here... What is your favorite one and where do you think he had his best performance?

My favorite movie that he's in is Mean Streets. His best performance is The King of Comedy.

Goodfellas and Goodfellas.

The best actor of all times. HAH!
I personally enjoyed Mean Streets and Raging Bull the most out of his collaborations with Scorsese. I'm also a big The Deer Hunter Fan. We can take all the digs at this we want but I love it.
Where the ******** is Meet the Parents?

Where the ******** is Meet the Parents?
1. Meet The Parents is not even in your top 5 of favorite De Niro movies, so no need to try to be clever.
2. I tried to be chronological, and only could only get as far as Heat by the time the poll options ended. Which means none of his movies over the past 11 years have been included here.
3. There is also an option for Other

Goodfellas and Goodfellas.
Yeah, and don't forget Goodfellas.

The Godfather Part II by a longshot. A couple of others I could probably manage to sit through again (Taxi Driver and The King of Comedy) but please forget the comedies. The guy is picking up the rent money walking through that tripe.
He and Pacino have been riding on their reps for well over a decade now. They're has-beens. Get off the hero-worship.

It's hard to pick between Goodfellas, Casino and Heat

I'd go with King of Comedy, then maybe Mean Streets.
Then i would probably go with Ronin. It shows what a great actor he is by the fact that he can basically slum it in Ronin and still make it a great part.
After just having seen Apocalypto, I need to give a shout out to "The Mission" as well.
I saw The Deer Hunter about two years ago. I was stunned how poorly it had aged.

Timeless masterpieces don't age, they just alienate simple minded viewers.

Close between Goodfellas and The Godfather PartII as to my favorite DeNiro movie. But IMHO his best performance is in Taxi Driver. A distubingly creepy performance.

I did forget to add that even though it had aged poorly, it still was much better than Birth.

You may not want to make that stand on a Michael Cimino film.

Ah, but you didn't say best, you said favorite, and it isn't as if it is so outlandish that someone would judge Meet the Parents as their favorite DeNiro movie.
Case in point:
After just having seen Apocalypto, I need to give a shout out to "The Mission" as well.
I don't think The Mission is the best DeNiro movie, but it is my favorite.

I was actually watching Blood Diamond tonight with the kids who is in love with Leo DiC, and I just thought of "This Boy's Life". The author of that story is great. And Leo and Bob were great in it as well.
This is my life. Although to be honest, you can't make the same kind of statement listening to the Meat Puppets with these goshdarned CDs.

Certainly not one without Mickey Rourke in it....
