Wolff, who plays with 1860 Munich and was looking forward to his first appearance with the U.S. since the 2006 FIFA World Cup, has been excused from the team for personal reasons.
Ching, who has five appearances with a goal and two assists in 2007, will travel to Sweden to join his U.S. teammates following the Houston Dynamo’s Sunday evening match vs. FC Dallas.
The 13th member of the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup roster to be named for the Sweden trip, Ching was also a member of the 2006 FIFA World Cup team and has made 25 career appearances with five goals.
