Hosts to get the party started

Although not chronologically the first game to get underway, Korea Republic - Peru marks the official opening of the FIFA U-17 World Cup Korea 2007 and promises to be a game of contrasting styles and plenty of excitement.

The game
Korea Republic vs Peru, 18 August, 20:00 (local time), Suwon

The stakes
With this the first meeting between the sides at any level, on paper there is little to choose between the teams. That said, the hosts will be hoping to take advantage of the passionate home support in the football-mad city of Suwon.

The players
An injury to Kim Min Woo is a major loss to the home side, who have yet to decide on how best to replace the gifted winger. Peru, for their part, have their entire squad fit and available for the opening game.

The past
The two teams have never played each before in either official competition or friendlies.

Estoy viendo el Costa Rica - Togo y los veo bien. Los centrales de los dos equipos se ven solidos, pero tambien es por que los delanteros de ambos no han hecho nada muy creativo hasta ahora. Los Togoleses tocan muy bien, y los Ticos estan pegando fuerte pero el arbitro deja jugar. Bonito partido para jugadores tan jovenes. Ah y la cancha esta linda, espero que ayude al toque peruano.

Se ve alguna gente en la tribuna con camisetas de Peru, pero el estadio esta recontra vacio.

Tambien esta jugando Brazil con Nueva Zelandia, pero bueno, deberia ser facil para Brazil.

Update: Va 3 a 0 para Brazil, el primer gol fue un record para la categoria, 9 segundos. El tercero, ******** que bien define el chibolo, me hace sentir tan viejo y eso que recien tengo 23 ).

Update: Golazo de Togo, muy buena jugada individual y muy buena definicion desde el borde del area. 1 - 0

Fifa.com esta pasando todos los partidos pero cero que en EEUU no se puede ver por que alguien compro los derechos. Lo que quizas si puedan ver son los highlights (http://www.fifa.com/u17worldcup/video/videolist.html) que tambien estan en la web (ya han subido los del PRK vs Eng)

Ahroa si, el estadio esta llenecito pero hay grupitos de peruanos por diferentes lados.

Peru con la camiseta blanca, shorts blancos, y medias blancas. Eso si con un crespon negro en la manga izquierda.
