View Full Version : Away Match Tickets?

Is there a way to get away match tickets? I'll be traveling through the UK on Oct. 20 on the way back from Sweden. I wanted to try and catch the match at Aston Villa.
How would I go about getting a ticket? Through one of the clubs, MUSCUSA, scalpers?
Any suggestions/procedures are greatly appreciated?

I think one way you can do it is to be One United member and it will let you apply for Away tickets. Looking at manutd.com, sale of the tickets for the Villa match starts Sept. 21.
Don't think MUSCUSA could help you on this, as far as I know, they only have tickets for home matches. However, you can still shoot them a email to see if they can help: pholland@manutdusa.org

I'm waiting for confirmation, but it looks like I may be able to get a ticket directly from Villa without having to join anything.:D
Now I just have to make those travel detours.;)

Does that mean you have to sit in the Home section of the stadium? You may not be able to cheer for United if you are sitting there.

Aston Villa couldn't be easier to get to. The train from London to Manchester stops within walking distance of Villa Park.

Which station's that?
Only been once by rail myself and changed at Birmingham New Street before picking up a local train service to Witton.

Damned if I know. I just remember seeing the stadium when we passed on our way to Manchester.

Probably was Witton. Stupid me must have changed trains for no reason.

It looks like it's pretty much wide open as far as where to sit. That said, I won't know for sure until they get back to me.
It would be nice to sit with United supporters, but I don't care where I sit as long as I get to see the match. I'll probably go in neutral colors just to be safe.;)
Fingers crossed...:)

Thanks for the advice. I work with an older Brit from Coventry and he's filled me in on how to get to Villa Park from just about anywhere in the country. However, details are always appreciated.
I'm not sure if I'm coming back through London or Manchester. If it's Manchester, maybe I should try to take the tour of OT and visit the museum/megastore on Friday or Saturday before I leave for the match. Any ideas?

The nearest rail station is Witton and you can see Villa Park from there. It's maybe a quarter of a mile away.

The Old Trafford + Museum tour is great. You should really try to go to Manchester and check that out.
