he's a bastard, but harry's got a knack for getting "difficult" players to preform. don't know if he's worth the money, regardless.

According to a report from today's Daily Mail, it looks as though West Ham's Icelandic biscuit baron (who knew you could make so much in the biscuit business?) is going to outgun us for Anelka:
"WEST HAM are ready to outmuscle Portsmouth in the £10million battle for Bolton striker Nicolas Anelka. Sportsmail revealed that Portsmouth had opened talks with Bolton, with Matt Taylor possibly going in the opposite direction. Yet West Ham will use their financial clout to match the bid and offer more lucrative terms of around £90,000 a week to the 28-year-old France forward. "

Anelka is a good player with skills, cool finishing and experience but if the deal means lossing Matt Taylor then it's simply not worth it.

Hell, if WHU signing Anelka instead of Portsmouth scuttles any possible deal of Taylor, I say, "Go Hammers! Get your man!"
