Rangers News:
The official site says (http://www.qpr.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~1090706,00.html) we can expect changes for tonight's match. Danny Cullip and Marcus Bignot are able to play some part. Dexter Blackstock has a "slight hamstring problem" that could keep him out. Hogam Ephraim's loan agreement with West Ham does not allow him to play in this game. Ainsworth, Kanyuka, Jones, Sahar, and Walton remain out. Timoska's suspension ends, so he should be available. This should serve as the second of three games Chris Barker is suspended.
QPR is only opening the South Africa Road, Paddocks, and School End, so it'll be a small crowd. Keeping Ellerslie Road closed isn't a big surprised, but no Loft tonight, either. :(
Also of note this week, Danny Nardiello has been called up to the Welsh squad that will face Bulgaria in a away friendly on August 22nd.
The Opponent:
Leyton Orient survived in League One last season after earning promotion in the third-and-final automatic promotion spot from League Two the season before. They opened this season with a surprising 2-1 at Southend.
The BBC says (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/league_cup/6941883.stm) "could be without Brian Saah (hamstring) and skipper Stephen Purches (ankle), while Alton Thelwell and Jabo Ibehre are also doubtful. Charlie Daniels, on loan from Tottenham, has been cleared to play but Michael Simpson (knee) and Clayton Fortune (collarbone) are both out."
The preview on the Orient site (http://www.leytonorient.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10439~1091508,00.html) notes they've lost in the first round each of the last four years. Who was the last team they knocked out of the cup? QPR in 2002/03.

The Series:
QPR leads 21-15-13 in the all-time series including a 20-14-12 record in league play and an even 1-1-1 record in cup play. The clubs last met in 2002/03 in the League Cup with Orient winning 3-2 at Brisbane Road. That is the only meeting between the London clubs in 25 years since the clubs last were in the same division in the 1981/82 season when QPR won 3-0 at home (April '82) and drew 1-1 away (October '81). The clubs first met as members of the old Division 3 South in 1929/30.
