No entiendo porque Sanchez no convoca a otros arqueros, estos dos en mi opinion no son de calidad para la seleccion. No puede ser que yo sea mas alto que estos dos. Quisiera ver a Lampe ser convocado o a Fernandez que esta en Chile.

Tambien me da la impresion que Martins no esta en los planes de Sanchez para estas eliminatorias y quizas nunca. Too bad, he burned bridges by declining the call up and now that he wants to play he's not getting called up. That's what you call bad advice.

What do you guys think, anyone you'd like to see get called up not on the list and not part of the last Copa America team.

Jaime Moreno was our best player at Copa America but I think we need the young bloods to start to work on chemistry. Arce needs to step up and be the man.

Colque and Ribeiro should be on the list. I saw the game between Real Potosi and Colo Colo in Santiago,Chile, and they played much better than some of the other players in Platini's latest roster (Suarez, Rodriguez). Even the chilean press had favorable commentary about the two.

I wonder what sort of "under-the-table" issue Sanchez has with these two players?:confused:

Damn, why couldn't we play chile. Despite Ecuadors early dismissal in the Copa America, they played alot better then Chile.

Ribiero is slow. He did do well, but he looks alittle slow for International Competition.

I would if he is that much better than other players. We're trying to make it to the world cup or at least not be in the bottom of the table like last qualifiers.

I have never seen him play so i dont know how good he is. All i know is that he has talent.

Does anyone know why they didnt call Pinedo? I think he's another player you have to put in there so he matures as the years go on. Although we need to start winning of the bat, we also need to think who the real players are, and i would think Pinedo is one of them.

Hugo Suarez is the best option for GK Bolivia has. He might be a little shorter than some other guys, but he's the best we got. I'd rather have him than either of the Fernandez'.

Martins, playing up top with Arce could be a great solution for our lack of definition. Martins has been scoring for Cruzeiro (he had a goal yesterday), and Arce is back to the starting line up in Corinthians.

Remember that Martins played for Brazil's U-17 national team, but since he was a minor, he can still choose his country. By FIFA rules, though, Brazil has to accept to let him play for Bolivia. I think they are okay now.

We should give him a try...we got nothing to loose and a lot to gain.

Antes de el ultimo partido de preparacion para la Copa America contra Paraguay en Santa Cruz, Martins declaro al periodico "El Deber" que su mayor esperanza y deseo era que Sanchez lo llame para la seleccion y que pueda jugar en la Copa America. No se si esto tiene que ver porque realmente quiere jugar para Bolivia o porque lo ve como una oportunidad de venderse a Europa destacandose en las eliminatorias. De todos modos es Boliviano y opino que Sanchez lo convoque. No tenemos nada que perder. El chico se destacara y sera nuestro nuevo delantero o no pasara nada con el. De todos modos no perdimos nada.

Moreno esta al fin de su carrera y no ay nadie que tome su puesto. Una combinacion de Arce con Martins seria muy interesante y quitando la responsabilidad de anotar a Moreno y posiblemente moverlo a una posicion de "holding/attacking midfielder" seria a nuestro beneficio, porque todos saben que Moreno no podra aguantar estos anos de partidos que vienen, especialmente en La Paz donde nunca a rendido de buena forma.

La mayor razon que lo quiero ver a Martins convocado es que inmediatamente se convertiria en peligro en set pieces. Una des sus mejores habilidades es su forma de cabezear la pelota.

Martins finalmente aclara porque no jugo para Bolivia en la Sub20 Sudamericana en Paraguay

- Yo nunca me negué a jugar en la selección, lo que pasó fue que la CBF no me autorizó para que participe por la sub de 20 de Bolivia, porque ya había jugado para la sub 18 y la sub 20 de Brasil.

- Quiero jugar las eliminatorias para mi país, Bolivia, pero eso dependerá del técnico Erwin Sánchez. Él decidirá si puedo ser útil

Martins se imagina compartir la delantera de la selección con Juan Carlos Arce. “Ya lo hablamos antes acá (en Brasil). Nos acordamos cuando fuimos compañeros en Oriente. Arce es un jugador y aporta a los delanteros de área”, dijo.

Que piensan ustedes deberian convocarlo para las eliminatorias? Tuve la impresion de un periodico que Sanchez ya no lo convocaria porque ya le ofrecio jugar para Bolivia y Martins se nego. Y Sanchez solo se preocuparia de los que realmente querian jugar para la seleccion.

Did anyone see the game? Here's the highlights but ofcourse you can't tell how well bolivia played nor does it show the "clear miss from Arce"

This inability to score is getting to the point that we have to worry about it. You would think that with the friendlies and copa, bolivia has had enough chance to fix something, but this looks more in line with chocking not coaching.
