Guess who scored from right-back? You guessed it; Hasan Salihamidzic!

Yes, you've read right. Salihamidzic at right-back! I commend you aloisius!
Did I call it or did I call it! Another great thing happend. Hargreaves started at DM instead of Jeremies. This really made my day. I love Hitzfeld! He is doing everything right.

Hargreaves starting in DM did not make my day because I have Jeremies on my Kicker manager team! Otherwise I don't mind. Oh yeah, I agree with those who dislike Bayern's new kit. The old one was better.

Well, what were you thinking?

Bayern have reached an agreement with Roy Maakay for him to come to Bayern, and are just waiting for Deportivo to give him permission to leave.

During "Sportschau" Hoeneß said that the real numbers are: Bayern offers 16 M, Deportivo wants 20 M

Well it looks like the Makaay deal is in the toilet--and can you blame Deportivo? If Makaay is all that he is hyped up to be, why would they give him up for less than asking price? Its a shame that Bayern didn't get into the Ronaldinho bidding--next to Elber and Zé, that would be an incredible Brazillian triple--especially wihth his style contrasting so well with Budesliga style.
Anyway, Bayern just thrashed Franckfurt without their entire starting defense
I feel a triple comming along...

I still don't think Deportivo is going to give him permission to leave--I think they'll hold it from going throughh

I think the deadline for CL registration is the september 1. So there is still plenty of time to get this done. I trust that Hoenes and Rumennige know what they are doing. I think Makaay has told Deportivo that he only wants to go to Bayern. So if they stay stubborn they might get nothing. That is a pretty good incentive to cut a deal.

Deportivo should let Maakay go to FCB. He clearly wants to go, and the money would do Deportivo good. Even if he doesn't move though, Bayern have three other good forwards in Elber, Pizarro and Santa Cruz. Zickler is good too, but he is injured. If more than one of the four gets injured, then Bayern have a problem though. If FCB had Maakay, the chances of having that problem would be much smaller.

I don't think three are acceptable if you want to keep form both domestically and in the CL. Bayern needs to either find the 3 million Euro difference or move on to Plan B.

Makaay is not available for Bayern's international games if he plays one with Deportivo that already has to play the CL qualifier (August 12/13). Hoeneß said that in this case Makaay isn't interesting for them anymore.
Meanwhile Makaay started the pre-season with Deportivo and he did not seem uninterested to stay there. He was welcomed by the fans, he seemed to enjoy everything - didn't look like he would enforce a transfer.
And the transfer sum... in case of Deportivo I wouldn't let him go for less than 20 M; actually I wouldn't get him go for less than 25 M. They can still sell next season.
