Yep, last night. Cheers.

I can't find any streams that indicate Villarreal's pre-season will be shown :(

Rossi scored two goals.
He came off the bench in one match around the 80th minute. And scored in the shoot out.
He started in two other games, and scored in both.

Go to 'tv show' or 'programa tv'. They update this after matches so you can keep up with all his/their performances.
In this episode there is an interview with rossi but its being translated so you cant realy hear the english.
Anyway there is a whole load of other shite but skip to about 35 min and there are match highlights. I think rossi has scored 3 times in total now (although 1 was a piss take penalty).

Interesting to note what the Villarreal supporters are saying about Rossi.

As usual, there is an almost gnawing need to label him and compare him to a former great player. It's the same thing I mentioned in the reserve review update. As players like Anderson and Nani are labelled the new this or that, some people struggle to relate much to Rossi because he doesn't have a direct comparison out there. Some of the Villarreal fans are saying Rossi reminds them of Romario!

Now, I'm not knocking them for the assesment, but I do find it fascinating that Rossi will never be left to just be Rossi.

I think he's going to have a cracking season with them this term given the way he plays the game and the way they play the game are almost identical. I'll do a poll closer to Primera Liga restarting to see how many goals and asists people reckon Rossi will get there this season.

It's a smart move by his people though. Probably his quickest route to a big spotlight across Europe given that the Spanish league encourages attack and affords a lot more space for forwards to play into.

Errr... Had he waited just 2 weeks on us, he'd have been starting with Tevez for the next 6 weeks, or at least until Saha was fit - which probably would have been 6 weeks.

Are you kidding.....Fergie still wouldn't have started him...

anyway the La Liga and Serie A suit his game better.

What about this past January when Rossi came back from Newcastle and we had one fit striker on our squad?

True. I'm convinced he would've never played for us.

When Rossi left for Parma on-loan we still had all four strikers fit (Rooney, Saha, Larsson and Solskjaer). That is why he was sent out on loan to get experience and regular football.

i had a dream last night that Smith and Rossi were back starting for us in the next game... then KRich was back in a United kit and it turned into a nightmare.

it was weird that the loss of Rooney crept into my dreams and that Rossi was back. weird or sad - i'm not sure.

Rossi was ready to make a contribution. It pains me to say so but the manager really should have shown more foresight and guarded against leaving us so vulnerable in terms dedicated striking options. It's my view a Premiership season will almost certainly find a team out if they are short in any given area (just ask Chelsea) and it's a fact we are in dire need of a player with Rossi's skill set at the present time.

It was Rossi's decision to leave.
