Thought I'd start the thread as I just caught the tail end of the Champions Youth Cup game against Porto from Malaysia that took place on Thursday. United won 1-0 with Brandy getting on the scoresheet with a long-range lob over the goalie after a bit of a mix-up over an non-offside call in the Porto defence. Like Nani, he also did a backflip to celebrate. I didn't even know this tournament existed 'til I saw that.
Don't know what the time difference is but right about now we should be playing Boca in our second game.

The news is a few days old but thought I might as well tag on the fact that Ryan Shawcross went on loan to Stoke (http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_2652006,00.html) in a six-month deal the other day in case anyone didn't know.

That's what happens when people do not read the summer tournament thread (:p). Great to know we got the first win but I just wish there was more info and some highlights from the tournament. How did you see the match against Porto?

MUTV, this lunchtime. Was just flicking through the channels after the Sunderland v Spuds game.
PS. Shawcross has scored for Stoke on his debut.
Edit: beat me to it. [R] added.

Boca 2-3 Man Utd FT
That win secures our passage into the next stage, regardless of what happens in our final league game against current second place side Inter. Goals from
Drinkwater ('5), Hewson ('22) and Brandy ('40).
In other news:
Watford are reportedly interested in taking Manchester United striker Dong Fanzhuo on a year-long loan deal. Hornets boss Adrian Boothroyd is keen bolster his attacking options for the new campaign and recent reports indicate he has his sights set on the 22 year-old Chinese international.

Hoping Frazier Campbell makes the bench on our next game, or Dong at least.

We lost to Fluminense in the Milk Cup final. Another loss against a Brazilian team wouldn't be good for the morale of the boys.

Three shots off the post for Flamengo! We seem to have been a touch lucky there.
