I'm curious where you all think Everton will finish in the table.
It's great being back in Europe this season (and hopefully we'll do better than our last time there).
But I'm a bit concerned UEFA Cup play might take its toll on our thin club, and think we might not make it back to Europe next season.
But is that just Blue pessimism? :o

Said UEFA Cup slot just to be optimistic and since *fingers crossed* we should bring some more players. If no more additions, then mid-table I'd say. And if Arteta were to ever get injured, we might be in the danger zone!

I won't vote because I hate when other supporters skew votes in our section, but I honestly think that you could well be a top four club this year again. And that's not at the expense of my own side. Whoever said only one team could gatecrash?

UEFA Cup is realistic, Champions League should be our aim.

I definitely think Spurs can make it into the Top 4.
Your team's talent is close to that of Liverpool, and might be better than Arsenals.
BTW, what's the deal with Mido? For a guy who came to Tottenham with a lot of promise, he certainly fell flat on his face. Will he stay with you all if a deal with Boro or Sunderland falls through?

Hey, Sara. How're things up in Chicago?
Every time we get another 100 degree heat spell here in Dallas, I start thinking of moving up there (and doubling the number of Evertonians :) )

Mido got blindsided, like the rest of us, by Berbatov's brilliance. There was just no room for him. He served us well and I hope he finds a team where he can play week in and week out. But there's no chance he will ever play for us again. They will loan him if they have to.

I picked UEFA Cup zone; I think we'll be struggling to reach 7th, but could do it if things go right. I fear, though, that we may trade results in one competition for another...

Not bad, although it's still hot here.
I'm gonna be down your way this week. NOT looking forward to it. :)

Maybe you'll bring some "cool" weather with you, and we'll get below 100.
I doubt it though. :(

Looking good, UEFA Cup predictors.
After the 1st weekend, the Toffees are a solid 6th. :)

6th or 7th looks likely. Everton are better than Villa, and Wet Sham.
Tottenham have more firepower with the stikers, but their defense is weaker. Everton had a way better +/- last year. Man City look good and are a threat for Uefa Cup along with Blackburn I think.
my 2 cents

In addition to the clubs you mention, I think Newcastle could be a contender for a UEFA Cup slot.
They certainly loaded up on talent over the summer, and have one of the EPL's best managers now.

For some reason, this sounds awfully familiar....

Yes, I agree we've heard that before.
But, in particular, if Michael Owen is fit and returns to the form he had at Liverpool, I think the Magpies could be a strong contender for 5th.

No way. They always implode. This season will be no exception, Owen or no.
